Who owns the freehold on the Vale pitch? A group of fans appear to hold Chelsea`s, and if they move grounds would have to change thier name. What happened to the Port Vale FC company that Jackson and Bratt setup to protect the Vale name?

The company is still in existence and made it's last return to Companies House in May 2011. The Company Secrentary is WA Bratt and he is one of two directors, the other being Peter Jackson. The company has one share which is held by Port Vale (Valiant 2001) FC Ltd.

Jacko,

Is the above info any cause for concern?

What does this company own?

The ground. I never understood why this was done. Perhaps a more competent individual could tell me. As far as I can see that company, being wholly owned by PVFC (V2001) Ltd , would merely be seen as part of the assets of PVFC (V2001) Ltd in the event of admin / liquidation. I don't get it, and would be grateful for any clarification as to the board's motivation in this area?

The ground is shown in the accounts of Port Vale (Valiant 2001) Ltd, so it can't be owned by the sideline Company. Unless anything has happened since the last return then this will be the case. Peter Miller could not have used the ground as security for a loan if it was in the other companies name as he is nothing to do with the other company and the council loan would have had to be repaid if the ground had been transferred as the loan is secured on it and the agreement was with PVFC (valiant 2001) ltd.
