The Vale spirit

That's is indeed who I am. Got less quiet when I left. Could be mixing you up with your brother Tim. We lived at 27, Tim was roughly opposite. Bill Bell lived on the opposite side of the circle, roughly opposite the Galleys, next door but two to Barry Salt (Place Manager).

I only have a younger sister Chris, Angela. I never lived on Grangefields, far to posh! Knew Micky Quinn and Jill Galley though, in my year at school.

Bugger, must know you through BHS. Jill Galley was a "physical" young lady, like Julie Turnock was. You must have been in the same year as my sister Debbie?

I think Debbie was in the year below me. You definitely know me from BHS & Woodhouse. Were you in the Cubs which operated from Woodhouse and the the Scouts at Knype? Almost certain you were in the cubs. My cousin is Nicola Barber, she was Jill Galleys best friend.

Cubs yes, not Scouts. Dived out. Love of my life was Claire Matthews (fold lane). But Craig Pickin (very hard man) beat me to it. Julie Turnock was top notch. Debbie is on facebook here .http://www.facebook.com/#!/profile.php?id=100000568432229. She's still sound as a pound, if a bit odd (doesn't that go for us all?).

Prof Lowe Actually... son . No Altzheimers. I don't really remember so much about Biddulph. Except the joy of leaving TBO. But I don't actually have any bad memories about it either, just wanted out. Still go back twice a year. Miss Billy Niff-Noff's sweet shop, otherwise I just find it a very depressing place. Went up Hanley last time I was back, and that was even worse. Just find it sad that to move on you have to leave your own place and country. And then your football club goes ***s up to stick the iceing on the cake.....

Sorry prof! Biddulph is not so bad compared to some places. I walk my dog everyday in beautiful countryside which is a stones throw from the town centre. Not many places can provide that.

Hanley is a dive though!

Just reading the Songs up the Bycars thread, and it made me think,we have never been world beaters we have never really been successful except for the Rudgie years and yet there is a genuine "Love" for the club.

Vale supporters have to put up with a lot.. grief at school, grief at work, grief from neighbours, grief from our noisey neighbours and yet small in number we dont give up.

Its that spirit that will not be quenched, I take my hat of those who turned up today, and gave Deakin grief. I salute the SC who are working behind the scenes to bring about change, the Vale means so much to people,

Deakin and Lloyd are chancers, they are trying to "Take" our club,I dont remember many taking the Bycars (Certainly Walsall didn't) so why should they succeed?

The club says it doesnt read this message board, I dont believe that, so when you read this, realise you have picked on the wrong ones, there are some very determined people who will not let our club fall into the wrong hands.

Well done for this afternoon I for one salute you

:clap::clap::clap:

PS. From the old Bycars days

"We hate Walsall we hate Walsall we are the Walsall haters

See what I did there

My kids are 4th generation Vale fans and they are as loyal as their Great Grandfather was when he first took his son to the Old Rec in the 1930's.

Lloyd, Deakin and Miller will never understand that that kind of loyalty and love for your team, your club, goes far deeper than people can explain. They will never comprehend what being a real supporter is all about.

Even Oliver fails to understand that important point.=========
