I think its time for fans to consider/decide what type of ownership they want to see at Vale.

An elected board?

Single owner?

Single owner with elected board support?

Single owner with unelected/selected board support?

Partnership/group?

Other?

Personally I think single owner with selected board support is probably the best option [at the moment].... provided the "selected" board are chosen for what they can bring to the table to advance the business.

If Mo, I think he would go for a CEO, Finance Man, maybe 1 or 2 more, which may include a Fan/Shareholder rep. But only my view.

Given the shareholders and fans will probably decide which type of control is eventually selected.... which would you prefer?
I do not think the shareholders will have a choice, the new owner(after admin) will decide. I would expect the board to consist of the new owner as chair, and CEO, Finance, 2/3 local fans with expertise and money, and a fan/shareholder rep. It is the system I prefer, in the absence of a large number of well heeled fans willing to form a trust run on a democratic basis. I would be delighted if say 20% of the shares, bought by fans were pooled into a trust, to give a seat on the board.

What worries me about one person is the fact that they can royally screw us up. If they are in it for the money alone and things go bad they might just milk us then leave.

Mind you the board thing has not worked overly well so not sure.

Think I would like one owner but they have to go through a elected board to make big decision but day to day its theres

So one owner who invests millions can decide which pies we sell but has to ask permission to increase player budget?.... doesnt seem practical to me.

After admin the shareholders and fans wont get a choice.... there may be no shares to count, buy or sell.

If a new owner does appear I doubt he/she will continue with the share status.... I know I wouldnt... if I were buying from administration and probably investing in Vale I would scrap the share system as a priority.

Single owner with elected Board in support.

As already said, no successful businessman is likely to want to invest £1m+ without being able to guarantee control. Markie G, that's the reality here.

I voted against the 24.9% investment ceiling in the first place; it has only proved to be a firewall for Mssrs Bratt & Co since.

I think we need to hope that there's sufficient interest in the club to take us forward within the single ownership model. Certainly the onset of administration would take decision-making away from the current shareholders anyway.
