No our failing was letting Justin go and bringing in a player to replace him on more money who has scored 1 goal in 9 games.

 

'Let us down YET AGAIN' - what on earth does that mean and how can you substantiate it when he is our most important player and (possibly Loft aside) is our most saleable asset. He was unlucky to be sent off last season and stupid for what he did vrs Shrewsbury a couple of years ago, YET AGAIN doesn't stack up.

There are different types of players, at the moment the team is scoring plenty of goals and it's obvious when watching the game how much space Pope creates for others, such as Rigg and Loft/Roberts.

 

If (hypothetically) we were scoring 10 goals every single game, and Pope was scoring none of them, would you still think he wasn't doing his job and drop him? And then put someone there who may score a few goals, but the team as a whole scores less...would you be happy then?

Never mind Marc scoring 50 odd goals in two and half seasons, rejecting other clubs to stay here, worked hard to get fit, being sent off more than once by a clowny ref and giving us four years loyal service.

Give it up twitters. Pope has been one of our best performers this season and we are scoring goals for fun because of iy. Is this not enough for you, or would you rather we struggled along with Justin Richards not creating anything for the rest of the team on top of missing countless chances and over relying on Marc Richards.

Just for the record, your scouting eye which predicted Kyle Perry would turn out to be a hanndy league 1 / Championship player seems to have lost its contact lens. Since being rejected by us 2 years ago, he's gone on to play for Northwich, Mansfield, Tamworth and Lincoln.

 

I don't have the time to recall the career moves of all your other future heros (clayton fortune, Prosser, Howland, Richman, that little pie man from Middlesbrough etc) but we know they aren't great
