Agreed it was glaring obvious. With regards to McGivern, maybe he did have a good game against Doncaster (that game seems to be the reference for everything for some reason! It was a one off, an exeception rather than the rule and it was months ago . We need to move on) But one good game out of 10 isn't a good enough ratio for me.

 

I think the problem there is that many expected Doncaster to be one of the top teams in the division, and Vale comprehensively beat them, creating what seems to have been false optimism for a promotion push. As of today, Doncaster have only won one of their six home games.

 

Clearly there is some major defensive improvement necessary. And surely even the blindest person can see that the back four of Yates, Duffy, McGivern and Dickinson is simply not good enough. Now it is time to give a chance to others.

 

I'm unsure about Page. But I'm absolutely sure that Page, Grew and Glover is not the way forward. Time to change the back room staff imo.
