We were never going to "contain" them, certainly not for 90 minutes. It's absolutely pathetic that we even attempted to do just that. Our best chance would have been just to have a go and surprise them a little. We would more than likely still lose anyway, they have better players than we do in every position. But the way we bent over the table and asked them to take us was absolutely shocking. I have no idea idea why people are so desperate for us to stay up anyway. We have a squad that is 95% League Two level. If we stay up somehow we will only get hammered week in, week out next season, before getting relegated. Carol isn't going to put the money in that's required to have half a successful season at this level, that's for certain. All she is interested in really is how she looks within the community.

We've done about as well as can be expected but it's really next to nothing. We look like a mid-table League Two side in comparison. No quality at all in any area of the pitch. Huge rebuild required in the summer.

I just can't believe how much quality we lack in every area of the pitch. Can't knock the effort today, we at least looked solid and organised. But we're a League Two side with a sprinkling of League One level players. Major changes are needed this summer regardless of what league we are in.

They were as bang average all over the park as you'll find and also not really playing for anything. There for the taking and yet we reverted back to normal. We need a relegation to start again. Hopefully this time, Carol can clear her head of complete magic and the club can go back to basics and start to get things right on the pitch first and foremost.

I've been one of his biggest critics here, and while I believe a lot of what I said has been justified, I have to say that Loft suddenly looks like a new signing. He could and should have scored again today but his running and physical tools really help the players around him when we're not playing that daft passing for the sake of passing rubbish. Hopefully with the return of ikpeazu they can really push each other and help to bring out the best from the likes of Garrity, Chislett and Dipepa.
