I was wrong. So very wrong. Although his stubbornness to change formation and tactics annoyed the hell out of me. Crosby was the least of our problems.

Crosby I thought often came across really well in interviews, even in adversity, albeit he often used the same cliches. But Moore stand there and do nothing but drool as long as I saw what he was at least trying to do on the pitch. Our fortunes haven't changed and they won't because the squad is THAT bad. But no interview after a game is going to sound too clever when you're losing every week.

I never said anybody should boo players. But people need to be realistic. Rubbish players are rubbish players. We have too many of them and two people are to blame.

Sadly, cheering and fist pumping until the Cows come home isn't going to make Loft useful in front of goal suddenly. It's not going to stop us gifting daft and schoolboy goals to opposition every week. The damage has been done already by those at the top.

Who isn't giving total support? Total support isn't not saying things are crap when they are crap. You can hope and want Vale to win games and do well but also criticise aspects of the football club constructively, at the same time. Or do you believe you deserve a big pat on the back because you won't say anything is rubbish at the club? Maybe a fruit basket?

Or are you a realist and know no matter how much you might cheerlead with your black and white pom poms from the side line, the players simply aren't good enough, and being absolutely rubbish at the top and bottom end of the pitch will always result in relegation.

Only thing we share in common with Plymouth is that both clubs begin with a P. We needed to stick to our identity as a club on the pitch first and foremost. Our best times were when we were direct and got two wingers pumping balls into the box and trying to beat a man. Instead we've spent all season pissing around trying to be the Burslem Barcelona after Flitcroft had a few good sessions at home on Football Manager and got a bit excited.

I'd certainly take Amoros over Lowe in midfield too, the handsome bastard.

I'm looking forward to it. We don't belong at this level until we have someone who can properly invest in the club. I mean on the pitch where it really matters. Sometimes you have to take one step back before you can start moving forward again so just accept that we're going back to where we currently belong and look forward to an entire new rebuild throughout the club, hopefully.

Because she isn't a football woman. Wasn't when she bought the club and isn't now. She's undeniably a nice woman. Probably too nice for her own good in some instances. But a lack of football intelligence, a lack of funds and a whole lot of trust and faith in a Jester who blagged his way into a position he's not fit for purpose, we're seeing the fruits of the labour play out in regards to these things.

I called it at half-time. I'm not saying that because it makes me feel good. I want to see Vale win. I want to see Loft score. But I knew what was coming regardless of us being alright-ish in the first half. As I said days ago, we're down and I've accepted it. Everybody else should follow suit for their own sanity. But Carol and Dave are a major issue and major changes are needed at the club now, beyond just changing a whole rafter of players in the summer.

She needs to do the right thing and look to sell the club. We need someone with deeper pockets and just as importantly, understanding of football. She gave it a good go, just go as soon as possible before you start to do real damage.

Maybe they're a bit better than what I give them credit for. I'm fine with that. But I don't understand these calls about us doing well in the game. We were always going to fade in the second half, always going to make crap substitutions because we have tossers like Wilson on the bench, always going to gift opposition chances and goals because that's just what we have done all season.

The biggest problem at this club right now is Carol. Couldn't care less if people think she's Mother Theresa.

They're not a good side. They have a few good players but you can say that about just about every team in the league. Even ourselves. I never felt for a moment we were winning this game. Why would I when we have a donkey up front, a donkey off the bench to replace him, and bang average League Two defenders?

So we were much better for all of one half then? Sad thing for us that football consists of two 45 minutes and everybody should have been fully aware of what was coming.

It's not been improved at all. People are deluded. We've just played a worse team than Cheltenham, who were far from great themselves. We're still rubbish at the back and absolutely woeful up top.

Carol needs to sell up, if there are any takers.

And there we go. Inevitable. Never mind though. At least Loft won a few headers and got us up the pitch once or twice.

We're just shocking tonight instead of hopeless, against a team that doesn't have the same threat as Cheltenham. Fantastic.

I'll get back to my work anyway. I'll come back half an hour into the second half and we'll be one or two nil down and Loft will still be looking about as lethal as a soggy pancake. No blame at all aimed towards Moore though. The squad is woeful and he's not to blame.

Two shocking teams. We've huffed and puffed but isn't that the absolute bare minimum anybody should be expecting from a team fighting for their League One status?

Mighten has looked decent, but why wasn't he starting games a couple of games ago? Presuming he was fit enough.
