Do people want a thread? I'm happy to do one no matter what the results are but I don't want to flood the message board. Equally, I don't want to be seen as shying away from it because we won today.
If we don't do one now, I won't do one next week if we lose also...
Xmas Special?

There are also our training and development facilities. Our league position over the next couple of years. Money is obviously a factor but not the only thing.Well unless a law has been introduced compelling players to sign a contract l don't think it's fair to blame Vale for this.
Rhys Walters looks a decent prospect but it would be absolutely mad to break our structure for a kid with so much still to learn.

You'd more than likely be selling him on for atleast double what you paid for him as well in less than 2 years time.Mate we can't even afford fix the bogs, never mind pay 1.2 million for a striker. Dream on
The bogs are being replaced and improved, which is more expensive than a short term repair.

Whether Uche as the disrupter will open up defences for our poachers will be known by January.I think the problem we have at the moment is that the piece of the jigsaw we are missing is the most expensive piece, a decent striker. Yes I know we have picked bargains up in the past but now even good conference level strikers are going for big bucks.

We've only had 22000 once v Stoke since the fifties
Not many of us remember the 41, 674 Stoke crowd in the 50s

It's been a bit if a wasted week for me coming on here .
Ive been excitedly coming on thinking surely they sold out the home ends ,folk shouldn't need any motivation attend this game do folk not want Vale to do what they did in 1954 (match it at least by reaching semi finals )
The tickets being on sale since the 14th of November now on general sale to anyone .
I'm.a season ticket holder I could have waited till whenever it is but I thought better get them early so that I know I'm defo going be attending this absolutely humongous game.
So to read that they only sold 5958 tickets is bewildering and quite poor if let the truth be known so that's less than 2000 we took away to Man City as I think we took 8000 with a much poorer team .
Oh well ill see the loyal there .
UTV
It is a much longer sale period than normal, 6 weeks or more. Big cup ties are usually after Xmas, Seats are reserved until December 5 so people can buy with December pay. A couple of wins will soon speed the sales up in December. 11,000 home seats, so until then no pressure to buy.
-
Times have changed. Most clubs use staggered sales as part of their loyalty systems. Stadium safety rules control seating capacity. In the good days without all of these staggered releases it would be season ticket holders first choice but our seats were not reserved. We couldn't get our seats v Stoke, but tough. that's life. The amount of rules surrounding ticket sales and parts of stands netted off is a pretty sad state of affairs.
Just keep it simple.

Probably the 500 extra seats in the Paddock are not shown yet, nor the 500 temp seats in the Railway stand. How come there seems to be much fewer that 5000-6000 empty seats available on the website? Are those images on the seat selection totally unrepresentative of tickets sold?

Not sure having vale fans in the hamil along with away fans would have worked personally
Are not Pompey to mix fans in their all rail standing end? Be interesting to see how that develops.

Usual review of player progress. Could be to our advantage to have a successful December, but his departure will be planned for.

The current limited capacity could be doubled I assume to what it was before the ceiling collapsedHow do you know this detail? How can they over sell seats? Is this the plan B of temporary toilets that Fosse eludes to?

Try Tickets, then Hospitality for info. Or do you want food details?I can’t really find any info online so hoping someone can help…
If I buy tickets for CJ’s @ £84 each, what am I getting? A meal and VP seats?

I gathered that the numbers quoted were available seats since the numbers could be increased with increased toilet facilities.Thought Baggers got the figures from the stadium manager who you would hope would know the numbers better than anyone? Is it the moving feast of the number of actual seats vs the number of available seats that’s changed again?

That Lorne Street figure is wrong. Some seats must have been double counted with Corporate and hospitality.
2045 was the number given to Mike Baggaley, a figure of 2200 has been quoted in the past I assume that included the 711.

According to the latest Vale News, ground capacity is 14,316. Railway Paddock 1483 but could be increased upto 2862 with temp toilets before the main toilets are replaced.

No doubt, more toilets and capacity could be added dependent on sales. Or a permanent job may be possible for the Xmas games. Only the club knows. Maybe the biggest game at Vale Park as far as a cup round goes, not in our history.Shambles not sorting out the toilets or extra toilets out for this game. The biggest game in our history and a restricted capacity. Really looks tin pot I'm afraid.

The more I think about it, the more I think the club have missed a little bit of an opportunity to promote & sell the 1876 membership scheme with this game.
There seems to be a lack of structure in the ticketing arrangements, people should know what to expect.

Most club sites I have wandered on give members preference over general sales.that was my reckoning but it does make you wonder now nothing has even been mentioned regarding 1876 members. If we're away to a big club like say Derby members get priority after st holders so i don't see why it would or should be any different if there's a high demand for a big game at home in the cup. Club need to come out with some announcement at least to clear it up

How about we abandon sales to season ticket holders first and put them straight on general sale which would mean you not getting your seat if you are not quick enough
Reserve STs until December, is that enough time

What a palaver, comment after comment, think it will be a tough call to sell out, so why don’t we just let the club carry on and sell the tickets.
In that case why not open sales to everyone with ST seats reserved until December
-
If STs are allowed to buy 2 tickets, 1876s should be allowed to buy 1 if not 2 also. Not the point. Do you think it's right that being a friend of a season ticket holder gets priority over a paid up member, sold on the understanding they'd get priority before tickets go on general sale?
