Could do a job at Liverpool?Leicester don’t want Rodger’s anymore. Don’t think he will last a month

I watched his interview about his circumstances and issues. The problems at Leicester - financial fair play rules and sustainability - were a surprise to him after he came back from holiday. But from all he said he was committed to the Leicester project so to speak. I guess I am making too sweeping a statement as money and opportunity talk. An attainable big job at a big club in England doesn't come up that often.
But I would add a new dimension here. I saw Rogers as a manager at Liverpool. I saw Klopp as a manager soon after he left and since. I mean by going to live games. Klopp is a significantly better manager because he has the team much better drilled. In particular Klopp teams play forward and don't go round in circles stuck in midfield passing around. Also they press very effectively. For me Klopp is a top level manager and Rogers in in the group below. I don't think Chelsea will be after him.
I don't think Chelsea will either. Leicester have had a golden period, missing out by 1 point twice for a top 4 place has set them back, which was the level that Rodgers likes to work. It them becomes difficult to hold onto players and to pick jewels out every season. King Power are happy to invest in infrastructure but require a more stable current account, a £74M transfer bubbling all summer did not help. Whether Rodgers will stay? 3 years seems the usual spell.

Tuchel payout £13M, maybe give Potter food for thought?

Rodgers can't get out of Leicester. Me thinks. This is football and anything could happen. Third coming of the Special One!
Why do you say he can`t get out of Leicester?

How do you get Champions League management experience?
Remember he's got European football experience when he was manager in Sweden
You get experience with smaller clubs, Chelsea`s new owners expect to play in Europe, unlike Newcastle`s who expect to get there.

I rate Potter but that's a massive job. I could see pochettino as the next manager potentially
Not the job for an English man, Champions League experience equired.

I’m surprised Leicester haven’t pulled the trigger yet. He must have built up a lot of credit in the bank from the owners as that loss at Brighton was a performance that usually ends in a sacking.
Something must have gone on behind the scenes with Tuchel as I can’t believe it’s just a product of the last few games. Maybe he’s not been happy with the players brought in?
The Fofana saga over the Summer has had an effect on both clubs, blocking the transfer system at Leicester and failing to stop Dinamo`s goal last night.

I think that the Scot Parker decision is not quite so outrageous as others think. If you read the statement made by Bournemouth's owners, they make it clear that they need their manager to help them progress in a sustainable way. Mr Parker, in the wake of the 9-0 defeat said on the BBC that his team are "under equipped" for the Premier League.
My interpretation of the owner's statement is that they are not at all happy with Mr Parker publicly criticising his players and the owners (which his comments suggest he was doing).
Managers need to realise that they cannot demand endless big money signings to feed their mistakes then keep asking for more. Bournemouth wish to be sustainable, quite right so. I think that Mr Neill at Sunderland was trying to force the hand of the owners to open the cheque book. He has found the right partner at Stoke, who happily throw huge sums of money at their distinctly average football team and feed the egos of their managers who splash out big transfer fees.
The BBC did a good opinion piece of Mr Parker's sacking, I think they make so important points about what has gone on here.
Howe`s management skills took Bournemouth from the bottom of League 2 up to the Prem and kept them there above their station. They are not sustainable as a Prem club but can yo-yo if they are careful and lucky, otherwise yo-yo with L1.

Reasonable that a potential chairman should understand the football business. After all it is his families money, but they are employing experts to spend it.Not sure I like him getting involved with player recruitment. Why ain't we signing this player etc. Seems like a good guy though.

Seem to remember Dave Anderson and Gil Blake in the 3rd Division at Sun Street, would it have been on a Thursday night?

Absolutely, no definites in football, some players take a year to find their feet/role some are one season wonders. Firm and soft going, as with race horses has an effect too.Definitely not, can't write any player off after 7 games- 1

Just gathering some views from the listeners about the McKirdy registration. What do people think?
Suspect it will be a big topic next few days with a people on one side of the fence and some on the other!
Fair number of mixed views in the thread already.

Wonder if there will be any surprises once the assessments have been done?I wasn't sure about these podcasts at first but I'm really enjoying them now so great work gentlemen.
In reference to Hurst he's not a winger and he isn't league quality yet and next year he'll take up a squad place so for me he's one to let go in the summer and Brisley is still injured so that's why he wasn't in the squad but he's another one who should go aswell -

I actually think we can afford the Cowleys or even any other manager with in reson. The wage cap is lower now than what we would set our budget at so there should be money available to pay the extra.
As for who I'd want I dont think I remember what one looks like it's been that long since we've had one so I'll leave that to the people in chargeBased on next seasons income?

My three would be:
Danny Cowley - obvious, winning culture, impressed with what he did with Lincoln. Feel he would look to build as well as he did with Lincoln.
Murray is an intriguing one, Mansfield fans speak well of him and does seem to have a good eye for players. At first it was a no no but more I’ve heard about him more I’m intrigued.
Derek Adams has done wonders with Morecambe with little money, good pedigree and would be a statement to take a side doing well’s manager. Sounds a bit of prickly personality wise which may sort the rumoured indisciplineHow many promotions have they had, if that is the measure of success?
