Let me emphasise at once that I have no evidence for this, but am I alone in feeling that this squad did not want to get promoted under the current board. They probably realised that by gaining promotion the current board would have a much stronger chance of clinging to power, while remaining in this division could hasten the demise of the Board.

 

We know this squad of players is "political" as they proved by their actions over Gannon and demanding to see the Board, many of the players have played at several other clubs and can see for themselves that this club is anything other than professionally ran. I am not claiming that they "threw" matches but that "subconsciously" this team had switched off by the time Adams left and Gannon was appointed.

The senior players at the club have ALWAYS been very supportive of the fans protesting for change at the club. After the match a number of the players were happy to be pictured wearing B&G scarves. The Board publically said they would not be attending todays match, we won 7-2.

No duck Its a homage to Jessie James whose mum used to make me laugh as an 11 year old by abusing the opposition if they dared tackle her son. He played from 66-1973 for Vale and was top scorer for a couple of years. Sorry;)
