Just been to collect 2 tickets for the game and asked if we would reach 10,000, the impression i got was........'no chance'

So we must be a long way off this then if that is the impression being put about publically. 8k is more realistic in my eyes.

I'm still going for 7000-8000 and officially 250 burton fans in the away end, can see it kicking off if any of their fans celebrate a goal in our end

Most people will just pay on the turnstiles on the night...and with the way the weather has been until now you can't blame them for not making another trip out for a ticket you don't need!

 

I'm beginning to "feel" 9 or even 10,000. I'm just a bit disappointed it's not a Saturday 3pm kick-off but on the other hand IF we can win it puts all the pressure on Cobblers etc on Saturday.

Went up the ticket office today (Wednesday ) to get a ticket for the railway for me & a ticket for me mate in Hamil end ( yes he's a Burton fan).Asked lady If Lorne street is sold out yet & she said she fully expects it to be.

Friday night games are pretty rare for Vale, and I agree a Saturday sounds better. Hiowever, MA has said in the past he feels night games at Vale Park intensify the atmosphere, and there is chance 200-300 or more Stoke fans may be persuaded to come and see their other local team. The weather will still be cold but not awful, probably dry, and maybe good enough to tempt people out for a friday night after they may have been staying in a bit more lately.

I'll be very disappointed at anything less than about 7300, and predict between 8000 and 9000 as long as Burton bring 500 or more, surely they can manage that for such a crucial game.

Can't see the 10k being surpassed, but perhaps that might be possible at the Northampton game if we can clinch promotion at that game. Our average for the season should certainly go up in the last 3 games though.

Bet a pound to a penny it will be a delayed kick off - with many turning up at 19.44 hrs expecting to see KO.
