Our Situation could be much worse....

I know we all are so frustrated about these times at the vale. Takeover, shirt sponsor, administration, signings etc etc!!! It is tough, very tough. However, at least we have light at the end of our tunnel (a bit!), whereas rangers and portsmouth, to put it simply: are screwed! Also, if you dunna care about other clubs financial crisis', think about the people in syria, the suffering, the war, the lack of aid, the lack of food, the poverty etc. It is a terrible situation at the moment for them. I know the times are tough at the vale, however we could, slightly, feel a tiny tiny bit grateful that we are not in a situation like Rangers or Portsmouth, and that we are majorly blessed in being able to live in a country like ours - (in comparison with syria!)

I know you all probably do have strong feeling for these matters, i just wanted to start a new thread with something a bit different, not Keith Ryder, Bob Young, Takeover orientated! Also, i just wanted everyone to have a couple of minutes of not worrying or getting angry or fed up about our situation! People may find this pointless, but it is just a thought!

:-)

:upthevale:

I agree with all you say about Syria, they are fighting for what they believe in, not with firearms that's what we are doing in a sence.

Quote from Bob Young in today's Sentinel:

That is extinction talk. How can it be much worse than that?

I hadn't read this from Young. It disgusts me.

For example, if the season begins, and the club play a few games, would all the 'ring-fenced' ST money then be forfeit, and ourselves considered just unlucky, for having paid for 23 games and got 2? (By the way, it's a genuine question; like many of you, I await my ST.)

Anyone who's more bothered about not getting value for ST money that the club going ***s up and being liquidated needs a word.

I'm bothered about BOTH, since they're the same thing. I'm also bothered, in case it ever happens, about me and my club getting ripped off by unscrupulous 'business' people: not that any of those would ever sniff around a League 2 club in trouble.....

If I get 23 games, I get Port Vale alive; if I don't, they're dead. (And if they go bust, I'll STILL support them, even if they play in Tunstall Park.) Like you, I'm a VERY committed fan.

Obviously not, I'm only in the country for about four games a year, although I did a few seasons ago and gave the ticket book to family.

MrBurslem said "ourselves considered just unlucky, for having paid for 23 games and got 2? "

I'd be more bothered about the club going under than being unlucky that I didn't get what I paid for.

Good evening, Doha! I've answered that objection. (See post 24.)
