Like constantly selling our best players and not investing any in any coming in the other way which ultimately resulted in the club being relegated to league two after employing 2 of the worst managers in the clubs history in Sinnott and Glover.  That meant he literally had to appoint a proper manager in Adams or fans wouldn't have bought season tickets at the times. It was hardly rocket science or a coup and despite it being one of V2001s better decisions it was basic common sense after what had preceded it.

The way investment was turned down makes the majority of Bratt's and their tenure unforgivable although sadly unforgettable what they put fans through clinging onto the club like limpets. 

He should be never be allowed near Vale Park again.

Defending him is like praising a despotic dictator.

I'll say one thing. At least Bill interveiwed others before giving Adams the job!!

As opposed to what the current owners methods? They did interview for the job when Clarke was appointed then didn't with Crosby 1 worked(for the most part), 1 didn't. I'm not sure what they did with Moore. We seemed to be strongly linked with Kennedy as well so maybe they did?

Bratt learnt from his mistake with Glover yes but like I said Adams was one of few successes of his terrible tenure. And V2001 were largely forced into it, another of Glover or Sinnotts calibre at the time and we'd have been in non league. I wouldn't exactly say it was a tough choice to make knowing the alternative 

One thing I will says it concerning how we've now had 3 sets of owners who've started off ok then preceded to make mistakes resulting in relegation to league two. I just hope our current custodians have the means to learn from it and go again. They have admitted some of their errors and the Curtis signing today is positive on the face of it so we shall see.
