I was expecting a lot more of Marshall to be honest,he wasn't the worst player in the team admittedly but i felt he could have contributed more. Of Shuker and Marshall i think MA has given a contract to the one who earned it.I felt Shukes performed far better than Marshall but perhaps it was a fitness thing with Marshall. I'm sure he'll find something,he has a decent left foot as mentioned above.

Given we have been dire at set pieces for years, and when Marshall came in we actually looked threatening from them, and the fact that James was barely given a chance in the first team, I was very surprised Micky kept James and let Marshall go. It remains to be seen, but I think Marshall would have been a useful player this season as we look woefully thin on the ground in centre midfield. Out of Loft, Morsey, Shuker and James, the only two who should be anywhere near the first team are Loft and Shuker. And Loft could end up as a full back again and Shuker playing out wide following Riggs departure. A central midfield pairing of Morsey and James, does not instil confidence or provide much creativity.
