Received word that Mick, who sold Golden Goal tickets in the Railway for years, has sadly passed away at the age of 87.

My early years at Vale heavily featured Mick; he would, without fail, produce Penguin biscuits for me and my mates for years as he did his rounds. He never took a penny's commissions for 40 years and was a proper understated Vale legend. A true gent.

So sad to hear this. He was a fixture at Vale for years and conned me out of a fortune in Golden a goal tickets!  He was a wonderful guy. Much missed by us.
