I note there is not a single quote from Micky Adams himself in that piece. Mr Deakin says: "Micky has told us he doesn't want to bring in any loan signings this side of the January transfer window."

 

In yesterday's Sentinel Micky Adams is quoted thus: "We were looking at improving the squad in the January transfer window, but if we have to do that sooner then we'll have to talk to the chairman (Peter Miller) and chief executive (Perry Deakin) this week."

 

And in his interview after the Cheltenham game on Saturday, he responded to question from Matt Sandoz, asking he needed to strengthen the squad in view of injuries, as follows: “We can’t afford to lose any more and obviously we’ve lost another two today, depending on the severity of the injuries tonight – we don’t know that - but we may have to dip into the market on Thursday if there’s somebody out there who can improve us.”

 

In other words total contradiction
