Can the BBC Sport website stop treating lower league football as a joke?

Could not agree more. He also subscribes to the bleeding obvious stereotypes all the time.

The serious journalist would go to Forest Green Rovers and ask questions like - is this just a one man vanity project? Is the club sustainable? Are its principles going to encourage other teams to go green (or not)... I would bet my house that "Clem" would go there and try and be "hilarious" talking about vegetarian pies and robot lawnmowers thus missing any serious questions...

They need to get Graham McGarry on the case with his penetrating and thoughtful questions:laugh:

On the subject of Radio Stoke's plonker-in-residence, yesterday he said that Vale's win at Crawley put them at the right end of the table and in contention.

Contention for what, exactly? In August after one game?

My pet grumble with the BBC's radio sport is, in my opinion, its over the top love affair with African football competitions to the exclusion of the lower English Leagues - including the 'Championship. This is especially so when the PL is having the day off.

I find it somewhat cringe worthy listening to their commentators going on and on about the Africa Cup of Nations and just about all and everything African football.

When the PL is having the day off I no longer listen to the BBC - and for that matter they probably wouldn't give a seconds thought to the concerns of an exile.
