The problem is the fans have been crying out for openness and honesty. Look at the number of unsubstantiated rumours that appear on here for example that people demand a statement / clarification on. Made a bit of a rod for his own back I guess when he tried to be too open and people abused it to a degree early in his tenure.

I understand the chairmans task is a thankless one, demonized when failing, canonized when succeeding.

You only have to tell people what you want them to know when you want them to know it, he doesnt tell us salaries [which is right] and there is a lot of other stuff he doesnt have to reveal but chooses to... just because people want to know doesnt mean you have to tell them.

Is this why we havent seen Hooper yet? Surely if he had bagged 4-5 goals since we signed him in league one we would paying through the nose for his compensation?
