A few new OVF features...

a. Donations

 

You've probably seen we have a new donations totaliser on the side (and bottom) of the forum homepage. It offers you a completely automated but very secure way of donating to OVF. And it gives an idea of how close we are to our monthly target of raising enough to pay the OVF bills. All donations are very much appreciated!

 

There's also a "donate" tab at the top of the page.

 

b. Post ratings

 

You can now see what posts are the best-rated and also a summary of the thumbs up/down ratings through the "post ratings" tab at the top of the page.

 

c. A couple of other tabs

 

And finally, still on tabs, there are links to the latest match highlights from the Vale's YouTube channel, a Twitter feed and the OVF headlines all through tabs at the top of the page.

 

d. And a disclaimer

 

Over the months, some users have asked about the views of members of the admin team. We now have an explanation of this on the bottom right of the forum homepage. It reads as follows and should be self-explanatory:

 

"OVF is a broad church. Our Admin team have been given privileges so that they can manage the forum. They do not take users' personal views into account when moderating the forum but manage it according to our site rules of what is acceptable behaviour.

 

OVF does not employ Admin on the basis of their views. Admin have their own personal opinions which you are entitled to argue with as you would with any other user. Their personal views may not necessarily reflect those of the OVF website."

 

p.s. Oh and finally at the bottom of the forum where it tells you who is online, there's a new stat that shows who are today's most prolific forum posters.
