Mickey's Turkish Delight

I was told about Bratties phone conversation with Mickey and his attempt to lure the 'Messiah' back. It went like this:

Bill.... Hi Mickey have you thought anymore about coming back?.

MA... To be honest Bill I'm Knackered. I need a good holiday. Problem is (cough cough) I'm a bit short until I get me pay off from Sheff Utd?.

Bill... Thats not a problem a good holiday will give you time to think. Stan have you got your wallet?. Mickey needs a holiday . Go to the travel agents and book him a few days in Turkey and no cutting corners either. Only the best for our Michael. We want him all refreshed for the new season. Marmaris thats the one high class. Self catering. No cheap flights either it's got to be Ryan Air they know how to organise a proper flight. Oh and Stan, Mickey and his good lady will need some 'spends' so he can have a few EfesPilsen I can taste it now. He will be hungry so a few euros for a couple of Donas wont go a miss.

Mickey likes to look smart as well so better get a few extra euros so he can pop down to the local market for a few of them nice 'genuine' fake tee shirts and tracky bottoms.

EHH Stan... Mickey wants to go to a nice airport thats the one Dalaman and book him some wheels and not one of them motor scooter's Mickey and his lady would look daft turning up at the apartment in a crash helmet.... f'in heck Stan this is the next manager of Port Vale we are dealing with here.

Bill... Thats it then Mickey I've sorted it all out for you. Have a good think about it.... the contract?. oh dont worry write your own out, we are all friends aren't we.

Mickey puts the phone down and his wife says ''you haven't signed owt yet have you?''. Mickey answers 'dont be daft I'm signing nowt till Mo gets in but Owd Stan's paying for a holiday get your cossy and sun oil!'

Infact a Port Vale spokesman has gone on record as stating that "old sage's" story is a complete fabrication!

 

Mr Deakin added that Port Vale had not approached Mr Adams with a view to him being the next manager and also maintained that there had been no conversation between Mr Adam's and Mr Bratt simply because he did not know a "Mr Bratt," had never met a "Mr Bratt" and would never meet a "Mr Bratt."

 

The statement issued by the club continued that Port Vale were aware of a person within the club by the name of "Stan" but Mr Deakin strongly denied that he or infact any member of staff had seen "Stan's" wallet or whether he may/may not actually own a wallet.

 

Mr Deakin continued that he was unaware if Turkey or Marmaris actually existed and if they did then no doubt Mo Chaudry would buy the land so that he could build something on it!

 

He added that he would like to take the opportunity to thank the 15,000 Vale fans for renewing their season tickets.

 

 

 

 

So it seems that old sage may be fibbing and he made the whole story up:yes:
