2012-13 to many to mention but Burton at home was special not just the score but the whole night, the club, the players and fans made for an historic night.

that was a great night! i have got a lot of pictures from that night, the promotion day etc.

i suppose the past few seasons havent been great....

sinnott, adams leaving, jim gannon, falling from top to mid table, the evil board, administration, deducted 10 points.... at least thats behind us all now ! :)

The only thing that raised a pulse in that first season was the FA Cup comeback at Huddersfield, the rest was dross.

After that a few moments that stick in the head for better or worse:

Knocking out the Sheffield clubs

Everyone on the transfer list

5-0 at Saltergate

That penalty awarded to Crewe

5-0 at Stockport and the zenith of Micky's first spell before it all went **** up

Bus journey to Aldershot

The whole craziness of Accrington away

That EGM- the sneaky tricks, the back stabbing and the resulting power vacuum

Entering admin and the fans defiance and togetherness

The Ryder debacle

Rotherham at home- feed the Pope

Fleetwood away- lets all do the Pugwash

Going top of the league and beating Gillingham

The Burton match and the atmosphere

Being promoted for 2 minutes at Rochdale

The Northampton game and post match partay

Favourite moment No.1 was when Chilvers got our 2nd at Rochdale. I felt so happy, at least for a short while. Fantastic noise from our fans. I have it on Youtube and keep playing it over and over.

Favourite moment No.2 was watching in sheer disbelief as good old Sam Collins put the ball in his own net and we were up. A truly unforgettable moment. Bruised my leg jumping up so fast!

Had some bad times over the past few years. Equally had some great times too.

I always enjoyed the away days though and can think of some great games particularly last season. Rotherham, Morecambe, Gillingham and Barnett to name but a few. I enjoyed Plymouth though because for me it typified us. We had won a couple of games and they outplayed us first half. Mickey had a sulk and came out 5 minutes before the players. Obviously words were said and they looked great second-half. I knew from that moment we were going to get promoted.

For me though over the past 5 years I've been going them games with Pete T and its been a personal honour to get to know the man. I'm going to miss him, big style

My family are all SWFC supporters, so beating Wednesday was very sweet !

For sheer craziness though, the Accrington away match must go down in the annals.

I remember the day vividly. I arrived at Accrington about 1:45 and went in the Crown for a drink. Straight away I heard rumours about more bust ups and fall outs but you never know how much credence to give to pub chat. Then I saw the starting line up. Exodus, Dominic Blizzard who is probably an ok player but was so woefully unfit that afternoon, he shouldn't have even been on the Bench let alone starting. Most players that day were abysmal. You could tell that any last shred of respect and wanting to play for him had gone and I still think they almost played that bad on purpose to initiate Gannons departure. Then the whole thing after the match with Exodus and Gannon having to be escorted away. I have never seen Vale fans that angry and I think the reason was that Gannon was taking the **** out of the club. He was putting his own pathetic ego ahead of the clubs fortunes and had been doing for some time. I think that's the main reason fans turned on him so quickly. There was some equally dross, probably worse football under Glover and Sinnott but they never got as much vitriol because the fans always knew they were trying their best for the club even if it was woefully inadequate.
