What i meant was when we were desperate for a striker then yes i would of done but his record for me over the last few years has been full of injury etc so no i wouldn't take him now,what would your reason be for having him now and using up the striker wage on him,just interested sell him to me

I agree with Mellor about the season just gone when he was a free agent,we maybe should of gone there before Charlton when we were desperate but personally i wouldn't be going for him now as there will be a lot more available this summer

I have gone Garrity.... I see what you are saying about Chislett but i feel that Garrity has put his all into every game and i dont think Chisslett has.. only my opinion of course

They would be silly if they weren't watching those kind of games as you never know. There are a few players,I know someone who watches mainly national league/north/south players on a regular basis and although they haven't mentioned Sbarra,they have said there are plenty who could do a job higher up the leagues including Conn-Clarke at Altrincham as an attacking midfielder

It might be interesting this week to see who is released from Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield as both those clubs will have many a player there who DM knows about,not perhaps for the bigger earners but maybe those with a few first team games or the younger lads

Well if we were watching the play off final,i aren't sure that any players there stood out really apart from maybe Osborne for Solihull but at 31 i doubt we would have interest there and Cheek for Bromley but same again at 32 we wont be in there either. Maybe we had someone at the Boston/Brackley play off final in the hope of a Gem(the lad Zac Mills maybe 🙂 ) Still some play off games for us(vale) to go watch though as DM hinted at that during Thursdays Q and A.

Lets hope some of the recruitment team follow soon enough,as someone said it's not nice when people lose their jobs but they have done a bad one here and i am sure they will work elsewhere though anyway It's great to see that DM is having a say in these changes it seems

I am hoping that is one thing DM changes when he looks at recruitment,as well as your usual better quality and pace etc,we need some battlers and not so nice in your face kind of players as well

I and probably most on here aren't that bothered if they are all you or not but it's the fact that when folk mention it you often deny they are you when i guess the majority on here know otherwise... Plus then you say on each one that you are having a break etc from being on here then just set up another profile,just move on from it and carry on posting as one no need take a break as I dont mind at all what you post other than your denials that you aren't the others. Anyway Onwards and Upwards me owd fruit,lets look forward to a rebuild and a better season ahead

Some might not agree but i do like the thought of trying for Tozer,there would be more chance of getting him that Raggett,someone on FB said he has no pace and cant turn but many said that about Aden Flint but he seems to of done quite well at Mansfield,so for me it would be a nice start to the recruitment process a dominant CB

I obviously have no idea but i guess we will pay a couple off,tell a few others that they are free to find a new club and have some cash to pay a fee or two if needs be and maybe higher wages to the right players

I didn't like Ojo's attitude one bit once Crosby left,he was a different player then BUT for me there is no doubting he would/should be a decent player at League Two level,I doubt though that he wants to play in league 2 or play for us

Ben tozer for one last run at league 2 in a Legge style Indian summer? Back to back promotions as captain Always thought Tozer was a decent no nonsense lower league CB,played plenty of games and is obviously a voice on the pitch being a captain,I wouldn't mind us being in for him tbf

There are certain ex players who people would want back if decent and imo if he is a loan option we could do a lot worse,we need that nippy striker to play off the shoulder but put him alongside a Cole Stockton type I would however prefer us to cast our net elsewhere first

When some were whipped into a frenzy that he was in the building on deadline day when a pic surfaced but someone i know looked at the pic and said straight away that it was someone who works at the look who looks a bit like him,now that would make more sense.... either way if he leaves Sheff Wed he will surely go to League One If we are after an experienced scorer then i would be looking at Matt Smith but as some have said it looks like he is packing in full time footy or even Austin now he has been released,played a part in 40+ games this season and scored 14 in a struggling side, has a goal average through his career of a goal every couple of games or so i think
