  1. I said in another thread how i would love to see us bring in a striker like Michael Smith/Lee Gregory(obviously the wages would need to be decent) but an experienced striker like either of those would score at League 2 level.... like Matt Smith did/does at Salford Pie in the sky i know but we will see soon enough i guess
  2. Yes he has a proven track record,as i stated my thoughts on his time at Huddersfield and here,we can harp on about those 2 stints but at the same time we cant dismiss Sheff Wed,WBA and Doncaster where he managed to build at those clubs..... again only my opinion Yes at a couple of those he would have sizeable budgets you would think but he still has to get players in so lets just see how he builds here in the summer, who knows come October i might be regretting my comments, hopefully i wont
  3. I thought at the time he said it was a player we could make money on in the future so that's why a good fee was involved(as you say though could be hot air as usual),he also said we were after an attacking full back from Sheff Wed and might go back for him in the summer....maybe that's still one for DM
  4. Tbf Doha Walters(who i thought lacked in a few games) has actually been one of the better players(not hard i know) in his last few games,Dipepa we know has done well at League one level,so i would be keeping those two near the first team squad next season,as for the other young lads you are probably right Plant i dont really see now as one of the young lads,so he will be in the squad as well
  5. Wasn't that the lad from Bradford who scored for fun at Swindon? ah just remembered Young was his name, has he been playing for Bradford? maybe still a target
  6. Not a dig,so you ditch a manager with like it or not a proven track record(not given time at Huddersfield to rebuild, they are still bottom 3 without him) after 16/17 games with NONE of his own players at all? Totally agree with everyone that the football has been very very poor maybe even worse and sadly for him he isn't the Adams type manager at interviews that some demand(it's what happens behind closed doors thats important to me). We all have differing views on managers that come to Vale BUT one thing i will always do is give them a chance with their OWN squad and see where we go from there. only my opinion of course and again we all differ so i respect your views also Onwards and Upwards me owd fruits
  7. Going off what he said yesterday,it looks like we will build around the young lads Dipepa,Plant,Shorrock and Walters, although the last two are still to sign deals.
  8. You would think so and i guess he was promised a good budget if we had stayed up as well It obviously wont be him(although some good strikers have dropped down leagues for a decent wage) but i would love us to bring in a Michael Smith/Lee Gregory type striker in League Two,as you would expect them to score a good amount of goals at that level alongside of Dipepa(who even at his age i think will start a lot more next season, hoping to cash in at some point)
  9. It's what the fans were asking for...an apology and we have got that so fair play, sadly we cant turn the clock back so have to move forward from now... I am 100% certain although many dont think so that she will back DM with some decent funds this summer,so lets give her and DM the chance to rebuild and try and give it a go in what is a tough league to get out of(as we know)
  10. I have to be honest here and say I aren't that bothered what he sounds like in interviews as long as he does the business next season but the jury is out there at the moment until we see who he gets rid of and who he can bring in,he certainly hasn't been convincing so far but i said i would write these games off because of the <ovf censored> he has here. I did noticed he said we and us more where usually it's been Vale or Port Vale
  11. Not sure on a new DoF (unless DM knows of someone) but surely the head of recruitment has got to go,so that part of the set up should be different at least
  12. Yes,i would take it to mean that as he also said it's a big rebuilding job and we all know that it sure will be
  13. Plenty will moan about that but i have said all along i will give him the rebuild did very well at WBS,Donny and Sheff Wed and wasn't given time to build at Huddersfield,my guess is he has been promised funds and the bit i did like was the talk of changing the structure of the club, that to me said he wants to ditch all the DF <ovf censored> apart from maybe the youth set up but hopefully the recruitment process will be ditched and a proper scouting network set up
  14. Very very poor in fact shocking as this season has been I have seen it all before so as usual the lad and myself will be renewing, sadly i just cant help myself
  15. Obviously want their 2 cup finals next season 🙂
  16. IF he signs his contract it looks like we are setting up Walters to be starting in our Midfield next season
  17. Some really big decisions to be made now cazzer
  18. I might be alone here but i actually think that Sang would do a decent job in midfield in League 2
  19. Those teams whose players actually give a <ovf censored> are staying up so fair do's
  20. Be orate 🙂 but i dont think we can make the play offs now
  21. We need to find that striker who will turn into a Paul Mullin in League Two for us 🙂 easy isn't it. Matt Smith scored a lot of goals for Salford when he dropped down from Millwall to them, not saying go for him but if we do change the wage structure to get in a striker maybe one who will drop down could do the trick also?
