Ollie and Alfie were good enough to 'mask' how bad things really were/are. We started off well (points wise), hit a dip but the football was 'pretty' possession based but without the end product. Take them two out and we're are left with a relegation squad. We've literally dropped off a cliff and have been free falling and continue to do so. Keep saying this but if we hadn't got the majority of this squad next season, I wouldn't be a pessimistic. But we have. If I were a Fleetwood fan, I would take heart that they are better than us.

Think all of the Flitcroft out is in vain unless one person changes her mind. We can quote all of the 'spin', make comments about players/systems. No need. IMO the tactics in both halves was the same: counter-attacking football. However, the subs made us less of an attacking threat than the original 3 up top. However, he doesn't have much else. Although, appreciatehe didn't have to make the subs.

I think Carol will continue at Vale. Maybe, even get others on board? To be fair though, I don't think there will be massive changes/investment in the squad in the short term. Reasons: FFP, most players are contracted for at least another (next) season and in reality, I don't think there needs to be massive investment to get out of League 2 or even survival in League 1. The appointments need to be right. Just like the promotion season. Money on its own does guarantee anything.
