Years ago the rowdies in the paddock used to change ends at half time to the end vale were attacking, was great for the atmos! Shame itd be impossible now due to all-seating

The seats didn’t stop it.  Fans were still changing ends well after seats were put in.

Time for Carol to go. She’s taken us as far as she can and the lack off engagement with us fans from the club is beginning to p*** me off.

Sell up and move on now before we end back in league 2. Several offers to sell and refusing is only harming the club and us fans.

Very poor attempt at trolling, please try a bit harder.

  3. Interesting what Croz said in his latest interview about the number of games to be played before “2nd of January” plus there was also some reference to the level of competition because of numbers.  Make of this what you will.  Obviously we’ll have some players returning from injury between now and then, 3 to 4 before the cup game I think he said, but maybe he’s also thinking that we’ll be making additions early in the next window.  Who knows?

Also, possibly this has been mentioned elsewhere, but Rhys Walter’s contract is being discussed currently with the player, his agent & his family.

In the old old days weren’t there vouchers A, B, C….. at the back of the season ticket booklet for cup games?  Can’t remember there terms of use though ie were they for guaranteed entry or an early priority purchase scheme.

Early priority purchase, which in many cases, dependant upon the number of tickets available, would’ve by default guaranteed the season ticket holder entry and often the option to purchase more than one ticket. At the end of the season there were always plenty of vouchers left over in the booklet for  some reason…..

Real shame seeing all these comments about returning to the Railway. I don't get this perception it's had a negative impact on the atmosphere. It was rubbish before this season, yet it's turned into this myth that the Railway was brilliant. It wasn't. Last season we rarely sang, and when we did, no one heard us. This season we rarely sing, but when we do it's much louder. I can vouch having sat in the posh seats so have been able to compare.

Personally just think it needs time for the Hamil to establish itself. It's trying to be too many things at the moment. A singing area, a family stand, a haven for Bycars regulars. Too many people with differing requirements and expectations. For me, it needs to be the end where the atmosphere is generated. Not a family stand, not the place to get the best view of the game, you go there to support the team. If you're in there this season and not singing, you can't complain about the atmosphere. Sing more.

It’s definitely had a negative effect on the Railway but on the other hand it’s a better atmosphere in the Hamil now than it was in the Bycars in recent times.  How long this lasts is impossible to predict.

There was always going to be a season or two of settling in.  You could just as easily have as many fans move in there next season as there are fans moving out.

Other than the performances on the pitch, the biggest factor which would affect all of the stands would be the opening of the “new” side of Lorne Street.

  6. In my view the best football we played under Adam’s was more enjoyable than anything I’ve seen since.  We played some good entertaining football since then but not consistently played with the same pace and directness.  Plus we had a genuine goal threat.

and the reason we haven't found that striker is not because of DF it is because Carol won't pay the going rate for one, In the end you can sack Crosby and Flitcroft but we still won't end up with a top quality striker because Carol just won't spend that kind of money. We need outside investment or she needs to sell up if this club is to progress.

We aren’t unique, plenty of clubs are players shy of what would be their ideal first team squad and all clubs need outside investment, most of it comes by way of sponsorship.

Look at where we are now and compare that to when the owners began, you’ll see that in actual fact the club is progressing in every aspect.  However it seems that this progress may not be quick enough, or good enough, for you.  Suggesting Carol should sell up because we haven’t signed the forward you desire and ignoring everything else is quite simply the attitude of a spoiled child.

ive already made my thoughts known. the DOF is a project which has failed largely at the club. weve been found out this season not getting a striker as a PRIORITY. if it was me there would be a clearout from the top down.

and all the happy clappers who are still that way....we are 3 points off the relegation zone in a much worse position now than we were at this point last season.

continue as we are and we are back in the bear pit.  but its ok. at least the queues at the food kiosk in the railway stand will be more manageable.

So the project has failed because we haven’t landed a striker, therefore we should smash the whole management structure up.  Then what?

How do you think Bill Bell coped!!

There’s no comparison.  Bello was the owner in different times, when the staffing levels were such that first team manager would help paint the stadium.  In more recent times Sexman ran the whole thing himself and look where that ended up.  You’re saying we should revert back to those times?

Vale do not need a director of football...they need a couple of scouts that operate under the manager, the director of football is the equivalent of any so called director  at a company who sits on his behind like a faceless ghost whilst everyone else does the work and the DOF reaps the cream. You don't need that at a club like Vale. It isn't a corporation, it's a family community football club

The DoF manages the football side of things, where the owners are lacking in knowledge, although there must come a time where they have acquired enough knowledge, but most importantly having a DoF allows the owners to carry on with their other business interests and charitable work.  Nowt wrong with that.

Fair to say that when things aren’t going so well there isn’t much cream for the DoF to reap.

Can I add some personal thoughts and an appeal here please.

Firstly, an appeal. I don't think it's fair to accuse the club without evidence it is them. I have removed some posts that accuse various parties of doing so…….

Have to say that’s very poor form Rob, you’re no better than Carol and the EFL.  Cancel culture.

Would that be the small hut on the Bycars/Railway corner,Ray?

2 small huts I think, food AND drink.  Plus someone said there was now soap and a roll of toilet paper in the Bycars bogs this season.  There’s also an unsubstantiated rumour that a new 40 watt bulb has been fitted in the loos at Lorne Street end of Bycars, but we’re only switching that on when the stand is full. 👍🏻

Problem is we are over indexed in central midfield, if Walters or McDermott were recognised left sided players I’m sure they would be featuring more in the first team. The signing we are looking from America must be very special as I cannot see a reason to sign another central midfielder when we are very much lacking in other areas on the field.

If he was so special we’d offer him a longer contract.  However he is obviously good enough to warrant a longer look.  There’s a chance we could lose Arblaster and/or Devine in January which would dent the numbers a bit if it happened.

  14. Harsh.  Likely he’s become a victim of his own success increasing views and subscriptions has put him on their radar.  Copyright and broadcasting rights I’m afraid.  You usually get warnings from YouTube rather than just being take down, but who knows.  He should just do what everyone else does, create a new channel, AB7.1 or summat, for his new content starting today and slowly repost his archive, assuming he still has all of those videos.  I’m pretty sure all the interviews should be fine if nothing else.  Going forward maybe less footage of the actual matches?  Whatever, there’s no reason for the lad to give up but he’ll have to start afresh and edit his content to fit whatever criteria YouTube have imposed.

Can’t see other than a sellout for  this game.Boro will sell their allocation (3000).I’m not sure how many home tickets there will be with the ongoing bogs problem.I think the club should get that facility organised to a greater degree than it is now.I also think Boro fans should be given better food and drink facilities. Its a long way to come on a Tuesday night.

This season the away fans already get better facilities than the home fans previously had in Bycars.

Odds are Conlon will be reunited with Mr. Clarke in Cheltenham come January.

Really?  The rumoured move in the summer was to a club far closer to home as I remember but I guess Cheltenham isn’t an extreme distance.  Maybe he’d prefer to stay relatively close to his family and local soccer academy if the option of a midlands or north west club was available.  Anyhow he’s gone nowhere yet and circumstances could still see him here til summer.  Stranger things have happened.

Have a read of it and then you may change your mind. As people are saying here, it's more analysis and in depth information than simply match reporting and you can't find it all here or on other sites. Even if you could, it would take too much of your time to do so. So, it's good value for money even at full price.

Fair comment but from what can see there now appears to be zero Vale coverage in the “local” newspaper online, as in a total news black out.  There’s no justification whatsoever for this when there is still local cricket and other sports being covered and nobody will convince me it’s a good thing from a Vale perspective for the scrotes down the road to have a complete monopoly.  At a basic level the casual reader should at least be able to read a match report and the odd interview.  If they want to put the “in depth” analysis behind a paywall then fine but as it stands you could look at the Sentinel online and not even know Vale exist.
