Nice one mateHaving been a Vale fan for over 55 years I have pretty much seen it all over the years. I hope that I am now a bit wiser as well as a lot older than I once was and try (not always successfully) not to get too worked up following a bad result and/or performance. I have done more than my fair share of kicking the furniture around when I got home after a bad loss (are there any good losses?). Nowadays I tend to reflect on the many similar experiences I have witnessed over the years, and it is amazing how the more things change the more they stay the same. I would love to be watching the Vale storming up the league(s) playing ticca tacca football whilst realistically accepting that this will never happen. So, I call in the pub for a few enjoyable pints before the game then go and see what sort of performance and result we get that day. The only thing that I do know for certain, is that I will be going up the Vale and supporting the lads for as long as I am physically capable. As this thread is for tomorrows match my prediction is 2 - 0 to the Vale.
Who says I can't dream?- 3

Still ain't great Brian, but it's something, and atm we need something to cling onto mate

Yep and that's better than the previous 5. Have a look at other teams last 5 games Brian. We aren't second from bottom in a 5 game form table. Get a win or draw Saturday that 5 game table will put us even higher up again mateIn our last 5 league games we have won 1 drawn 1 lost 3

Form of the last 5 league games puts us higher up the pecking order tbh. 10 games is obviously very relevant, but 5 games is a better indication of if the form is turning for the better.
Don't get me wrong, the 5 games isn't great for form, but it is better than the previous 5 games.- 1

Dunno, just what I've been toldIf you include the purchase didn't accounts show it would be double that? -
I believe Carol and Kevin have put alot more than the 5 mill in. I've been told it's at least double that.

5 hours and 30 minutes. That's the total amount of extra time in our players legs as a squad. Time that may have been avoided by adding 15 minutes to the playing time of Arblaster and Devine. A macro approach would be a far better metric in an FA Cup replay than micro metrics. Does "The Science" take into account financial gains to swell the squad in January, increasing options on individual playing times? The science (as usual) was flawed.
This hits the nail on the head mate. End of thread -
Well I'll be there yet again another day, another game. And another very very important game for the lads.
If we play like we did for the first 60 mins last night, and that's a big IF, we have a good chance of a positive result. If not I'll take a point. I won't accept a loss, not under any circumstance.
Especially if it's just handed to them, as per. Seriously can't handle any more extreme tactical errors, subs etc.
I just hope they players aren't as bewildered about last night as we all are, and they come out, up for it and fighting for the club.
Come on Vale let's get it sorted out once and for all- 2

Hope they come good for yer old man mateWatching for the first time from the posh seats as an 80th birthday present for my dad... Come on vale, pull a performance from somewhere, anywhere for me...
It's too much to dream of a hat-trick from our senior striker (are performing players allowed to stay on the pitch to complete hat tricks)- 3

Things are depressing enough as it is without mentioning that absolute belm on the thread. It reminds me of Boris Johnson during covid times, we're going to follow the science.- 3

Left just before the penalties as I had to be up at 4,30 this morning for work. I also couldn't bare to watch us go out on penalties as I felt that was exactly what would happen. Call me fickle, don't care atm.
As I walked onto Hamil road I could hear AC ranting and shouting from the touch line!!!
I just don't know anymore tbh. So so disappointed with so many things.
Our club is degenerating into an absolute mess, or so it seems.
All said and done, is staying up in League 1, after the year we've had, adding stability for us to push on?
Not really. This is a horror show of a season and it's so tiresome and frustrating.- 1

When will it end

Well that's that then. Feel for Ryan, gets some confidence then bang it's all gone again.
Joke of a game tbh and feel for the lads but if you can't defend leads with minutes to go then it's all abit pointless- 2

Come on Conner

Or a classic cup tieWin or lose tonight.
He has to go and should have gone a long time ago
The league Cup run is the only thing keeping him in a job in which we scraped past a few L2 teams to get where we are
This is atrocious- 2

Well we scored 3 goals!!

Blimey ! We've got Super Ryan Loftttttt get in lad. NOW DON'T FK IT UP
-
2/0 coasting why for the love of God sit back!? Delusions of granduer. Gaffers got it very wrong tonight. It's getting on my wick, now.
And ironically, some of the players who we were trying to 'manage their load' (Grant, Yak and whoever else) will now have played over an hour instead 30 or so minutes.
Very short Recovery time before Wigan, they arent going to be push overs.- 2

Yep I'm flabbergasted tbh. You could see it coming and just knew what was going to happen.AC seems to be allow himself to be 100% dictated to by sports science and not common sense. I'm only listening on radio but from what I heard, Devine and Massey were playing well and we seemed to be the better side. Inviting pressure for 36 mintues was ridiculous!- 1

So annoying. Great first half. Then second half wave after wave of Stevenage attack. Can't believe we give a 2 goal lead away. Well I can really. Ffs.
-
Worth a trawl 5 mins before Osh, see if its on but no fa cup games have been yet apart from the few live onesAnyone know if this is being streamed tonight for us exiles
-
Stevenage bringing 40 fans so I've heard. The game just isn't big enough to generate interest from both teams.
I'll be there tho, for my sins- 5
