  1. Ah yes, "shooting from the hip" - another tired cliche used by people who don't know what to say to explain themselves, but want to sound relevant and with it. Don't confuse "burying my head in the sand" with me taking a less reactionary and more moderate stance on the Vale than you, though it's an easy mistake to make for an idiot. What is it that you see with your head out of the sand, you <ovf censored>? Your response to everything seems to run to the extreme immediately, which is simply attention seeking garbage. Another meaningless cliche - "cloud cuckoo land" - I suspect you don't even know what you mean by that either, but it's just a way of trying to put you "in the real world" and diminish the opinion of "happy clappers" as you term them, ie the fans who refuse to join you in going ballistic when things go wrong, and discuss things reasonably without shouting. Keep crying the tears of a clown Nappy Soiler, and watch how many people can't be bothered with your negativity and crass opinions. I'll continue to support the Vale my way, and leave you to your cliches and your multiple emojis, you one trick keyboard plonker. I'll leave you to get back to your crayoning and cliche collection.
  2. You just don't get it do you? Crack on with the name calling and jerk off reactions - "pub player", "we'll be in the Vanarama" - it suits your moronic character brilliantly, and confirms your clown status on here. Nappy Soiler - juvenile and keeps crapping himself and getting angry each time we lose - so appropriate.
  3. To be fair though Wozz, was that just the Posh players making sure they weren't injured ahead of the big day at Wembley? Whatever, Carlisle did us a favour last night. We just have to rev up and go again on Saturday, as Micky used to say. What's done is done, we know we have a poor and unbalanced squad - the best we can hope for is to survive this season, have the summer clear out (again - whatever happened to stability?) and buy some players who can give us a safe mid table season. That would be nice.
  4. What's costing us more dearly is conceding late v Carlisle and Fleetwood, and losing those points. We would be less worried about goal difference if we were further away from the two below us.
  5. Nappy Soiler, you don't like a bit of your own back do you? I tell it how I see it too, dumbarse, you don't have a monopoly on that life skill. You're always the first to jump on players backs and state the obvious. if that's saying it like it is, then bore off. I don't wear rose tinted glasses, we are not saying these are world beaters, we're just not as sodding negative as you weeks in, week out about our own players. You just love to pick off players don't you, and you won't hear the logic of earlier comments about Lowe's past. We have him at the end of his career, when we are looking at experience, not pace, and you compare him to a park player. I'll leave the fans to decide whereabouts on the knee jerk spectrum you are when things don't go your way.
  6. Agreed - I think he's put there because he has the legs, and puts in a shift - but it isn't easy for him.
  7. Let me guess - you're (note spelling) chief slagger off....🤔👍
  8. Damage limitation now I suspect - the goal difference of the teams around us is broadly similar, so we could do without a 4 - 0 dragging ours down below Burton and further below Cheltenham. Only one away game out of the 4 left after tonight, so we need to make those games pay.
  9. Agreed - we can't go through the whole playing like this.
  10. Agreed, but I have a queasy feeling having seen that team. Hope I'm wrong. Keith Chadwick and Nobby Horton, 30th November 1974 and all that....but it will be tough.
  11. Splendid. Can he take viciously swerving in swinging corners? Or curl it round the wall with venom from 30 yards? Welcome to the Vale Deklan, we need your goals. From left back. You'll be quite busy with other stuff too, if you do get to play. Was our last Kiwi Chris Killen?
  12. I had a teacher called Glasscock once, and we often wondered whether he had crystal balls.
  13. Agreed. Hadn't realised Sang played centre half.
  14. ...and the first half of the QPR game doesn't count....
  15. Yes, how could I forget? But the general point is valid - apart from that, when did you last see the Vale thrill the viewing public with silky skills at Vale Park? I can wait....
  16. Of course, I forgot those games were televised. We aren't great on the telly though. Interesting re Paterson - with Carlisle now gone, Burton might feel it's worth hanging on to the end of the season and hope for miracles - what manager would come in with 4 games to go to get a tune out of that team? Could go horribly wrong. Mind you, if a new manager was incentivised with a massive "keep us up and we'll give you a huge bonus" arrangement, it might work. But losing 0 - 4 at home today is very damaging for Burton - thankfully. And much as I would love Darrell to keep Cheltenham up, it mustn't be at our expense. I'm hoping that with nothing to play for, Carlisle will play with a new found freedom, and take points off Cheltenham. A man can dream....
  17. God I hope the TV cameras come nowhere near us this season, and definitely not on the last day. I can't remember when we performed well when our game was televised - maybe 0 - 1 away win at MK Dons at a push? But even that was dull.
  18. I have to say I tend to agree, though it would be lovely if the other results went in our favour - though we have been lucky with other results today, and we can't keep expecting other teams to lose. And if I'm honest, I'm also worried about the home games, which we tend to assume we will win points from - I don't think it will be easy, not least with the number of games to be played in a short space of time with this squad. I think there will be more bumps in the road to come, and it will go down to the wire on April 27th. Would love it if we were safe by then, but the way it has been this season, I think bums will be a-squeaking until the final whistle has been blown on the last day...
  19. A pint of whatever this gentleman is on please barman....
  20. But it's our pile of crap and it won us a point, so put the peg on your nose and own it...
  21. This conversation sums up the whole recruitment shambles for me. Vale fans don't know from week to week how we might line up, who will play where, who is in the squad one week and who is nowhere to be seen even if they are not injured the next week, who is playing out of position etc. The fans should normally be able to look at the team selected and know EXACTLY how we are likely to play in terms of formation and players positions, but every week, sometimes even after kick off, fans are left speculating on what might be going on out there on the pitch. Wing back or midfield, striker or winger, left sided defender in a three or central defender in a four - I know teams can shuffle things a bit to adjust to the oppo, but we are left guessing before every game. And I wouldn't mind if that was a Mourinho style tactical master stroke - but it never is.... It's just the result of us having a shambolic, unbalanced, injury prone squad who don't know from week to week whether or where they will be playing. Massive respect for the 1400 travelling fans - I hope they get to see us turn up and fight.
  22. Thank you Fraser, now fall in with the rest of the men, there's a good chap. "Ay, Cap'n Mainwairing, ay".
  23. Agreed, and even if we are not good enough, it's the fact that a not good enough team like us might be able to survive (and so just about be good enough, when we look at the table on the last day!) that gives me hope. It's become a fight with us, Cheltenham and Burton - I think Cambridge have stretched away from us now. But having been in a relegation scrap for two seasons on the bounce since promotion has done nothing for my blood pressure, and if we do by some miracle survive, it's a chance for Darren Moore to take stock and sort this team out. I wish him well in the endeavour whichever division we are in next season - he's going to need a bit of spending cash.
