  1. Listened to bits and bobs of it. Sounds like Tom is hurting.

Some of the stuff he said I disagree with , calling Monty unstable is one of them. Wrong term for someone dealing with mental health issues. Slating fans loyalty about releasing certain players, considering we watched that dross home and away every week.

Loved Tom Pope the Player and will always be a legend. And that 2012 promotion/ man city game will forever last a memory

However time has moved on and Port Vale has.

Thought Derek got done there. Parker must be one of the most limited, boring, lucky boxers to have ever got any kind of billing.  Ridiculous.

Painful watching Parker fight. I get why he does it but as a viewer , Christ he could cure insomnia.

    Taylor-Jonas was a fantastic bout.

Frampton, very good but not great.  Not good enough to overcome the size advantage tonight. Also pre-fight his heart didn't seem in it to be honest.

Good decision to retire. Let's hope he stays that way. His time has gone. Hopefully he has enough cash in the bank.

Agreed. Not been the same since the Warrington fight.

One last payday before he retired , can't fault him.

Very surprised BT didn't pick it up though, shame he couldn't finish it at a packed Windsor Park with his fans but that's life now

That would be a good one. But I think, could be wrong, that Dillion is mandatory now after Fury/Josh x2? Ruiz and Wilder are yesterday's men for me. Fury, Josh is where it is at.

Absolutely. Although at this point I'm sick and tired about hearing the Joshua-Fury fight being agreed now. I'll believe it when both boxers are in the ring together

Been over 3 years of this saga. Too much money and greed from the promotions

We were wrong BPV, it lasted 3 rounds. Yildirim hardly threw a punch, employed the peek-a-boo guard which allowed Canelo to hammer him to the body interlaced with a few brutal uppercuts, he didn't come out for the 4th round.

Eddie Hearn at the fight, can only hope Canelo and Billie Joe Saunders get it on.

Good payday for Yildrim. But a fight that shouldn't have happened really. I believe he was mandatory though?

Canelo-BJS now confirmed. Wonder if BJS will take it this time. Biggest fight of his career and needs to take his chance

If Canelo does beat BJS. Who's next? GGG III possibly? I'm not his biggest fan and feel like the drug scandal kind of got swept under the carpet and the decisions in the Golovkin fights were wrong. But he has to go down as one of the greatest to grace this sport especially with his only defeat coming from Mayweather. Not a bad record at all.

  6. Local lad Heaney on the undercard on Saturday night BT boxing. I believe Tommy Fury is the main event/Co main event.

While he is a Sjoke fan, it's always good to see local talent especially on a televised event.

The last stoke lad who was on sky didn't do any favours for himself with that post match interview. Fair play to him for turning his life around though

Canelo fighting Avni Yildirim in a mandatory defense of his WBA and WBC Super Middleweight titles on Saturday in Miami. Yildirim was KO'd in the 3rd by Chris Eubank Jr so I won't be paying to watch this one.

Done in 1-2 rounds easy. Pointless fight

You have to imagine BJS is next for Canelo

  8. Brutal defeat for Kelly tonight. Good call by the corner to throw in the towel especially after the Warrington fight.

I like Kelly but could tell straight away he was gonna tank early on. Went for it in the early rounds and paid for it especially against a quality fighter like Avaneson.

  9. Big upset against Warrington tonight. Fair play to Lara , everyone wrote him off from the start and he absolutely dominated Warrington.

Not sure what was up with Warrington tonight but being out for so long did him no favours. You could say he should have been pulled after the first knock down.

  10. Big fan of Campbell,  he did well against loma as well. Garcia has a bright future ahead of him if looked after and has the right fights picked. Critics are already hyping him as the next de la hoya (minus the outside antics)

Ryan Garcia, Gervonta Davis and Shakur Stevenson. Some serious decent young talent from America at the minute.

  11. Smith took an absolute beating tonight. Heart and jaw of a champion though. Canelo is just a different breed.

Have to say the DAZN commentary team are terrible. Demetrius Andrade is a weapon too

Canelo-GGG III has to happen. If Smith doesn't move up weight I wouldn't mind seeing him against Saunders

BPV, I didn't know GGG was fighting 'til I saw the highlights posted on Youtube, such is the current fractious nature of  boxing coverage in the USA, first GGG fight I've missed since he came to the USA. Tremendous performance by GGG, the opponent was his mandatory challenger and he was out classed by a mile, he'd not fought anyone of note even though he was a European Middleweight Champ so I assume his 21-0-0 record was "managed".

Would love to see GGG vs Canelo III, GGG won the first fight if it hadn't been for one of the judges sleeping through the fight.

Will watch tonight's bout, it's on DAZN over here, think Callum's got a good chance 'cause he's a true Super Middleweight although Canelo does have the upper body physique of a Light Heavyweight.

Completey agree with everything about GGG one of my favourite fighters to watch. I still feel angry whenever I think about the decision in the second canelo GGG fight. Golovkin was robbed.

DAZN has launched in the UK also ,only 2 quid a month which is a bargain but with eddie hearn on board I can only imagine the prices will rise.

I think Canelo will get the win with body shots same as he did with Fielding. Although I'd absolutely love it if Smith pulls it off and gets the win

  13. Easy win for triple G last night, he hasn't slowed down at all.

Will be rooting for Smith tonight although I can't see him stopping Canelo.

If Canelo wins hopefully we get the trilogy with Golovkin.

  14. Joshua-Fury will likely be a two fight deal with BT and sky getting a piece of the pie each.

Rumours are Fury will be fighting Takam or Kabayel early next year for his return.

Joshua and wilder would be a decent scrap i reckon although like you said Wilder has been caught out finally after all the hype. I believe he is in talks to fight 40 something ortiz again for the 3rd time

Didn't watch the fight live but watched highlights and it looked a good performance by AJ, could have been stopped earlier when Pulev turned his back on AJ. Looking at Pulev's record it looked a "Relatively safe" fight for AJ in that Pulev doesn't have a big KO punch.

Fury vs AJ is what everyone wants but AJ vs Wilder would be a very tasty and explosive encounter.

    Agree with Wilder Aj.

I suppose the question now is when will fury fight wilder especially if they are contracted for one more fight. I'd imagine Fury will want a warm up fight first also

AJ also has a mandatory challenge in Usyk to deal with. If both men win their fights respectively we could get a huge uk title fight end of the year maybe.

Yeah. It was a bit odd how he took his foot off the gas after round 3. Almost like he wanted a few more rounds under his belt. But decent effort against a decent fighter. Still think a fully firing Furry will be too clever for him.

I imagine ring dust could have been there possibly. His post match interview was strange. Almost angry at his own performance and tried to dodge the fury questions.

I agree i think fury would out box AJ. At this point I just want the fight to happen already sick of all the talking and hype about it now
