Okolie V Billam Smith  if it goes ahead exites me

I  was not impressed by Okolies win over Lightl   ,,,,,,Lets get this one on!

Okolie is massively boring. Can see why match room wouldn't pay the money to keep him

Fancy Billam Smith for this one. Big home advantage as well

  2. Good win for Joshua. Needed that. Not a classic performance by joshua but got rid of the ring rust and got a few good few rounds in him. Credit to Franklin too

Although he's mad for calling out Fury again. Not Tyson biggest fan but he would AJ head off right now.

I do feel AJ has lost his power over the years and hasn't been the same fighter since the Usyk first defeat

Even though he is a Stoke fan, I really want to back Heaney because he's a local lad but he very rarely knocks anybody out. 17 professional fights, 11 going the distance. The way he boxes is not exciting at all

Felt gutted for the young lad from buslem having to retire. Such a shame but health always comes first

Don't know whether its me or what but boxing seems to have dropped off the face of the earth.

There seems to be a lack of advertising for the fights unless a search on the net is done, most of the bouts are shown on-line or PPV which have to be paid for over and above the sports tv that I already pay for, even the "up and comers" are shown on DAZN or ESPN+ and have to be paid for and there also seems to be a lack of mouth watering fights.

It was a sad, sad day when Premier League Boxing Champions entered the sport and ultimately HBO pulled out.

Agreed. Boxing is a ghost of itself

From the failed DAZN uk launch( granted itv will show it now) but the buy rates were shocking. Doesn't help pubs or clubs can't show it

Underwhelming under cards. I can't remember the last time I saw a solid card from top to bottom

The best fighters ducking out of fighting each other. ( Fury being the worse for this) although I feel its more down to greedy promoters like frank Warren and Eddie hearn.

The whole YouTube boxing is a joke as well i get its bringing in a different crowd but it doesn't nothing for the true sport of boxing. Just creates a bunch of already rich brainless dead behind the eyes Z listers even more money.

I've seen better scraps down in hanley compared to that Tommy Fury-jake Paul fiasco

  5. Just caught up with the boxing from the weekend.

Feel for Leigh Wood but personally I think it was a great call by Davidson throwing in the towel. Was a brutal punch from Lara.

That shambles Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul this weekend. Tommy loses this and that's his career done. Not that he's been that impressive anyway

Apparently Floyd Mayweather also has another exhibition fight in the uk against a reality star. Meaningless at this point

  6. Great fight. Yarde did well but Beterbiev is just a machine

Agree about Beterbiev-Bivol that would be an absolute war.

Couldn't stand the jake paul-Tommy Fury stuff. I get its for a certain audience and will make some money but that stuff is just pure cringe to watch

  7. What a result for Liam " Beefy" Smith. Satisfying seeing Eubank Jr lose. Can't stand the bloke. Never has and never will make it as a champion. Ego bigger then his victories

Not a bad card all round. Although the Joseph Parker fight was rough, he looks done in my opinion

  8. Predictable result for Fury in the end. Right call.by the ref to call it, credit to del boy he can take a punch but he got absolutely smashed here. Hope he's made a decent few mill out of this and retires. The guy has been a great character and boxer for the sport.

Dubois got the job done in the end after getting knocked down 3 times in the first round.

  9. Scrappy win for Whyte. He looked slow and tired tonight. Very close fight which could have gone either way I thought. Credit to Franklin he can take a punch.

Whyte Joshua II likely to happen next year

Nantwich born Nathan Gorman ( cousin of Tyson Fury) got knocked out by Wardley on the undercard.

I've not seen it yet but parker had to stop during his fight due a broken hand. Gutted for the lad. Ryder apparently getting canelo next

    Rangers sack von Bronckhorst.

Should have happened a while go.

Although not all down to Gio the board and especially Ross the sports director are to blame. Shocking recruitment especially when you think how much money they got for Bassey and Aribo

Interestingly the names being linked are Dyche , Gerrard again, Michael Beale Gerrard Ex right hand man who's doing a stellar job at QPR and the random one Kevin Muscat

  11. Easy win for Yarde tonight. Big fight announced against beterbiev in January. I can't see Yarde winning that one sadly. Beterbiev is a different animal

    Beterbiev-Yarde

    Stevenson- Garcia

    Eubank Jr - Smith

    Wilder - Ruiz

2023 already looking tasty with some quality fights lined up. Just need Crawford and Errol Spence to finally fight. Getting borderline mayweather/pacman ridiculous now

  12. Eubank Jr vs Liam Smith and Josh Taylor vs Liam Catterall II both to be announced by sky sports. Two good fights there

I have to say since the split. The DAZN project doesn't seem to work for the boxing fans. Especially now it's mixing with the YT/KSI stuff. All about money instead of getting the best Fights out there.

Standard Eddie hearn though. Money over fighters. There's also talk of matchroom losing okolie who's another one fed up with behind the scenes of boxing.

    Greed is killing the sport

  13. Good weekend of boxing

    Sunny edwards fighting Friday night

    Hatton exhibition.

Natasha Jonas with clarke and dalton smith on the undercard respectively

Denzel Bentley fighting in the US on BT sports

And the mayweather exhibition against a youtuber which I really don't care for. Apparently tommy fury is on the undercard

  14. So Fury-Chisora III Announced for December. The trilogy we never needed. Good for Delboy to get a decent pay day though

Whyte-Franklin also announced. I don't know much about Franklin other then he's an undefeated upcomer in the heavyweight division. Wardley-Gorman announced. Interesting fight that. Zach Parker-Ryder also on the same night on BT. Potential banger right there

Thought Mayer was robbed had her at least2 rounds ahead.

Shields was superb, but full marks to Savannah she gave her all.

Devin Haney was once again the master over a much improved Kambosis jr

And what a peach of a 1st round KO by Wider on his comeback.....Think both AJ and Usyk would have a job on to beat him.

Agree with all that my friend. A cracking night/weekend of Boxing

Good to see Marshall/Shields get over 2mill TV ratings too. Womens boxing is more then just Katie Taylor and they deserve all the credit
