How else will a premier league club let their kids move down to Vale without seeing the training facilities, changing rooms, nutrition, fitness, schooling, the whole ' we will look after your kids ' process. Agree entirely. What worries to more is that our young academy lads are just as much to blame and i worry if this is how we bring them on. Is it now a game of very little contact. Dont get stuck in.We sit back and take the right position but then stand like statues and let teams play through us. Fleetwood second half was a perfect example. No tackles, no blocks just stand in their way. Surprise surprise, four passes and a bit of movement and they are crossing a ball into our box. We see the seasoned pro's do this and we may say they are not trying. Hope the youns uns are not guilty of that too. The fact that Smith doesnt even do this the way he has done for years tells me there is more wrong off the pitch than we know about. We also play with 6 at the back and three in midfield. All very narrow in the center which gives us no width and no creativity. As for goals, we havent had goals for two seasons now.

Yes it was better but really ! The quality on offer from Sang, Loft and even Mighton, it was poor. Then we had Lowe Grant Massey, very poor. Even Chisslett and Ojo didnt have great games

[ We were promoted purely on a six month purple spell from Garrity and his goals helped us massively first half of promotion season ] Never seen such an unbalanced squad of players at Port Vale Jones, two year contract. Wilson, not required and then signed in desperation when we could not get anyone. [ we then learn we were chasing Loft all along ] What has our recruitment team given us. Signings : Ripley , Chislett , Leutwiler - Positives Clark - hopefully but jury still out Sang , Grant , Lowe , Iacovitti , Debrah , Uche , Loft , Wilson - Poor. Not strengthened us. Loans : Arblaster , Devine - excellent Thomas , Weir , Lopata , Mighten , Gore , Williams - Poor. Not strengthened us. Youngsters, our own : Plant , Mc'Dermott , Shorrock , Walters , Diepepa , Brazier , Lomax , Good to say that we are bringing players through but are they ready ? Should they be playing now ? NO Only time will tell if they will be successful for us and that is another two years minimum. Not strengthened us. A complete farce and Flitcroft is responsible for everything football related.
