Forward is sixth out of contract Port Vale player to indicate he’s staying put
Forward David Amoo looks set to join five colleagues in agreeing a new contract at Port Vale FC.
Amoo is one of seven players to be offered new deals and Tom Conlon, Rhys Browne, Mark Cullen, Cristian Montano and Shaun Brisley have all indicated that they want to stay. The news is a boost to manager John Askey who looks to have a settled squad for next season.
According to the Staffordshire Sentinel, Amoo has indicated that he is happy to accept the club’s contract offer. It means only highly rated defender Nathan Smith has yet to indicate if he will be staying at the club.
Wide player Amoo had a good first season with the club. The 29 year-old made 37 appearances scoring five times since joining the Valiants from Cambridge United.
