Port Vale have announced the signing of former Barnsley striker Max Watters on a two year deal.
Watters strengthens the forward line at Vale Park joining Ben Waine and Jayden Stockley as well as loanees Oliver Lynch and Mo Faal.
The 27 year-old has signed a two-year deal.
Watters began his Football League career at Doncaster Rover and rose to prominence at Crawley Town, hitting sixteen goals in nineteen appearances in League Two in 2020-21. Further moves to Cardiff City and Barnsley followed and he was released by the Tykes at the end of last season.
He is Jon Brady’s sixth permanent signing of the summer following the additions of Jasper Moon, Kyle Dempsey, Matty Craig, Onel Hernandez and goalkeeper Jackson Smith.
