Port Vale defender agrees new one-year deal
Port Vale have announced that defender Shaun Brisley has agreed a new one-year deal with the club.Brisley is the second of the club’s out of contract players (after David Amoo agreed a deal on Wednesday) to agree a new deal although others are expected to do so soon.
“He’s a top professional, he had to be very patient and comes in and works hard every day,” assistant manager Dave Kevan told the official website.
“It’s a testament to his professionalism that when he came into the side after the Swindon game and got that under his belt he was superb for us, keeping Smith out which is no easy feat.”
“He’s experienced and knows the game for a central defender.”
Brisley’s new deal keeps him tied to the club until June 2021.
