Port Vale midfielder agrees new two-year deal
Port Vale have announced that midfielder Tom Conlon has agreed a new two-year deal with the club.Conlon is the third of the club’s out of contract players (after David Amoo agreed a deal on Wednesday and Shaun Brisley agreed a deal on Thursday)to agree a new deal although others are expected to do so soon.
“We’re looking forward to seeing continued improvement. I think we saw the best of Tom as the season went on, particularly towards the last few matches. If he continues that progression then he’s only going to get better,” manager John Askey told the official website.
“Hopefully he’ll have plenty of competition, but he’s shown before that he relishes the competition and it motivates him to push on.”
Conlon’s new deal keeps him tied to the club until June 2022.
