Vale vs Stoke vs Man U / charity signed shirt auction

It's been a cracking start to the season hasn't it I wish I had got to Fleetwood but I'll surely be there Saturday to watch us hopefully beat the Gills!

 

Anyway cut to the chase.... Can you remember the vale shirt that I got signed for the Variety Club Summer Ball? Well it's on the 28th of this month at Keele Hall and the pink (fully signed up) shirt is amongst the auction prizes on the night. It's up against some tough opposition in the football shirt face off. A signed Man Utd shirt and a signed Sjoke City shirt including Micheal (thanks mum) Owen!

So it will probably raise a few jeers, even cheers (from myself) on the night, it might not raise the hundreds of pounds that the other shirts will but at least the Vale will have a foothold in the proceedings. Forever Vale, never to be forgotten.....

Just to add Geoff and Pam kindly donated two signed Port Vale footballs to go into the auction..

 

I don't know if you could make something out of this to put on a thread, it would raise the profile of a very worthy charity that helps underprivileged children in our area. Also we are looking for appeals to donate funds too so if anyone out there knows of any child needing help then please get in touch with me.

 

So it's Vale v Sjoke..... Keele Hall, September 28th

Wow! Thank you for your bids :)

 

This lot which includes a signed 'Pink' Vale shirt, signed match ball and anything else I can blagg at tomorrows game will go to auction on the night of 'Variety, the children's charity' summer ball at Keele Hall on Friday 28th September.

 

I will hold your commission bids on the night so if you give me your highest bid I will put them forward..

 

I did this because of my experiences of past auctions at different charity nights. It's always been Sjoke City this or Manure that.....so to put a big statement out saying that there is two football clubs in this city I put the Vale shirt up for auction.. They didn't like it but obviously can't say no!

 

Anyway thanks for the bids, Variety is such a worthy charity for local children....

Variety Club had a fantastic night last night, the total money raised is being added up still but I reckon we must be near the 8-9k mark.

 

Anyway the Man United shirt didn't turn up so it was a head to head battle between the Vale and Sjoke....

 

The Vale shirt battled valiantly and raised £200!

Ultimately though in the end the sjoke shirt edged it with a bid of £300....

 

A fantastic night had by all....

Excellent news Stuart! I don't suppose we should really be bothered what raised what and just be happy that the total amount raised was brilliant. Well done to all concerned. :yes:
