Thought this guy deserves a thread of his own. I believe that he has been the best signing of all this season. He is very assured and I no longer brick it whenever the ball goes in our box (unlike the last few years). He is very dominant when coming out for the ball and could easily lead us into higher leagues.

 

His performance against Rotherham was outstanding. He caught everything that came in the box at all heights and angles. Not sure what Shrewsbury were thinking letting him go for nothing. Their loss is our gain!

Thomo did us a massive favour by refusing to sign his contract. Neal better than both last years keepers put together.

Went to watch the friendly at Alsager pre-season and stood right behind the goals. He's constantly talking to his defence which makes a massive difference.

His early distribution of the ball is excellent compared to the 'lets wait a while then hoof it up field' method that Tommo used.

I will reserve judgement on him until next season, after he has had a season of Grewy training the good out of him. (At the moment tho, he looks very good.)

Early signs are good, he doesn't use his chest which is an improvement on Mr muscleman. He's not had a great deal to do so far but I'm much more confident in him than our recent keepers.

I thought some of his catches from crosses yesterday were very good. My only complaint about him yesterday was that on 2 or 3 occasions he could have come for a loose ball but chose to stay on his line resulting in defenders having to turn it out for a corner which led to unnecesary pressure. I did comment to my mate I hope that isn't Grew's influence! But overall a massive improvement to what we have had to put up with and the spine of the team looks solid.

Really impressed with how assurred he looks and very professional how he frustrated the Opposition at 4 2.

 

He took an age to fetch the ball then kicked it so it barely reached Loft and encouraged him to do the sameto return for a throw by the dug outs.

 

The Coach driver ( Steve Evans) was furious - Pi##er!

Heard him on player profile on Radio Stoke and anybody who pays £24 for a haircut is dodgy imo.;)
