Who would make an ideal replacement for Adams IF he went?

Cripes! I got shot down on another thread for even suggesting that Adams may go but the signs were there for all to see and frustration obvious about what he's been told (perhaps he now knows how much he's been lied to!) and how little he's personally going to get financially, as he probably won't get the promotion bonus this season at Vale.

I haven't listened to Micky's interview but if he is annoyed at being asked to take a pay cut and is he considering his future then so be it. The bottom line is no one is bigger than the club and i will help him pack if he wants. I m not saying he has done a bad job but he hasn't achieved what he promised either.

 

His wages must be higher than most League 2 managers and he also had the pay off from Sheffield United last year so he can't be too bad off financially. I can understand that the argument that he might have bills to pay but with the amount he has made over the past year he should have some rainy day money at least. He is in the 'crazy football managerial world' where being sacked at any time is the norm.

 

Yes, he should be paid but unfortunately we are where we are now thanks to clueless idiots who have been running the show. However for the long term good of the club some sacrifices are going to have to be made. If he really does feel for the club then surely Adams will make some sacrifices as well.

Ward would have been my choice of Mickey to be honest when he was first appointed. Ward is at Colchester now.

I'd personally go and snatch Steve Davies from our sheep shagging neighbours up the road, I think he is one for the future and has (despite our frustration) turned this Crewe team into a side that wins a lot.

 

Think we wont be able to afford Lee Clarke, but would be willing to look at John Ward.
