Just Read this and all have a good laugh. Looking back now theres very little on there that they have actually ever done. The transfer funds are the best bit......

 

The Valiant2001 Charter, drafted by Charles Machin,

listed ten points:

 

One: Set aside a £1.5 million first-team budget

Two: Introduce supporter-friendly ticket pricing

Three: Complete the Lorne Street stand

Four: Sort out the pitch (install under-soil heating)

Five: Make savings of over £80,000

Six: Make Port Vale a fan-friendly football club

Seven: Make Port Vale a community-friendly football club

Eight: Run the club openly and democratically (at least 2 supporter-directors on the board)

Nine: Improve the club's relations

Ten: Be open, honest, professional and accountable

It's been done to death but this should really go down in history as their legacy. Aside from point 2 it's been a complete and abject failure.

You are twisting that somewhat as the incentive always lies in ST's which have been well priced for the last 3 seasons.

 

Pay on the gate will always be significantly more expensive but I understand we are still one of the 6 cheapest pro clubs in the land in terms of ST's.

agreed ST is alot better value. Just hope the new owner keeps them values. But the charter overall just shows what a bunch of liars and conmen these people were. Those aims we nearly impossible.

If we want to raise some money get this charter printed onto rolls of loo paper and sell it in the shop. Its all its good for and could make us some money.

Interesting to re-visit this I supported them at the time on the basis of that charter.............what a bunch of liars and cheats
