Some Vale fans have it in their heads that it's always bad to appoint an ex player as manager, just because it failed with Glover and (to a lesser extent) Foyle. Whenever a former player gets talked about for a vacancy it's universally considered a bad move just cause it's failed before, which seems kind of nonsensical to me, as it's all about their managerial ability and nothing to do with what club they've previously played for!

Normally i would agree, but Gannon was that shockingly crap, its just a relief to know that 90% of Mickys team will be playing from now until the end of the season.

 

Oh and if there was one crumb of a success under Gannon it was Sam Morsey.

i dont think so as he will pick the strongest 11, and we can all pretty much predict what that will be down to about maybe 1 or 2 players....the fans will see that and wont see him as the man to blame if we dont get promoted

 

furthermore, i dont rekon grew will want the job permanent basis anyway hes just going to the best he can with the games hes we've got left

 

all that said i can see us going hell for leather in these last few games, ive really got a good feeling about this
