Matchday cards at Vale

I'm not sure if they have been mentioned before on OVF, but has anyone noticed the new Matchday card items that have appeared at Vale this season?

I think these are a great idea, giving fans a new collectible and raising some revenue for the club as well as advertising home games. I'm not sure how many local outlets are stocking them as I'm not in the area, would be interesting to know if anyone has seen them.

They also have downloadable posters at their matchdaycards.com site which can be printed off.

(I don't have any connection with matchday cards by the way, just find them a welcome addition to Vale).

They're free mate! My son gets his from the DW sports store in Tunstall. I think the programme sellers give them away inside the ground too. There are three cards that have been released to date - Yates, Haldane and Dodds.

I think if they got a bit more known amongst fans, they would really take off, maybe they could give a card away at the turnstile on entry.

I've been told they will issue seperate cards for Rotherham and Northampton though, as these matches are more than a couple of days apart. On this basis I guess there might also be cards for each of the next few home matches

The other clubs that have them include Stockport, Macclesfield and Oldham so Vale are early groundbreakers here, as Id expect to see these cards in the Prem next season.

How about having them for all officials at the club?maybe a red one for brats and a green one for oliver,I'm shore Oliver would find another card handy
