SEO clarification

Iron Curtain

Recommended Posts

I have lost my grandfather, my father, an uncle and most recently, my brother-in-law to cancer. I did not find the original post offensive. Should I be ashamed?

No Jacko. Ive also lost family members due to cancer.

Some people should stop being such drama queens.

Get a grip.

whilst we are discussing our sensibilities i think somebody ought to be jumping up and down about the use of the phrase "starve em out" .

until the famine in west africa is sorted out i think it would be better all round to call the campaign something less emotive such as "maximise cash flow problems until the board resign"

I continually read on this site that SEO is going to Kill the club and that it should be stopped.

My view point is this:

If someone we love is diagnosed with cancer, the best offer that medical science has is chemotherapy.

Chemotherapy is a poison that kills the cancer, and in doing so bring the patient very close to the edge themselves. The risk is of course that the patient cannot handle the drug and the worst happens.... but we love them, so we take that risk because its the best chance we have.

Port Vale = Beloved family member

Board = Cancer

SEO = Chemotherapy

Starve em Out!

Well said Iron. I tried to put this to WayneAmyLou once, he could not comprehend a metaphor, or he was playing stupid to save face!

As someone who has had chemotherapy & also lost someone very close to Cancer I find your comments an absolute disgrace.

On reflection of your point if it were correct then everyone would beat cancer who had chemotherapy.

How do you explain when a tumour doesn't respond to chemotherapy? Also do you realise that most people who have had cancer are on medication for life & for many the cancer may return at some point in their life.

To be fair to IC, I honestly believe they didn't mean to offend anyone but merely try to convey that no-one takes any pleasure from SEO, but the actions of the current board have left a sizeable number of the fanbase feeling that there is no other option.

The analogy used was always going to provoke an emotive response and for that reason, personally, I feel this thread has run its course.
