Next seasons attendances

Just been thinking, imagine what next seasons attendances will be like, if we are, as seems likely struggling, no higher than mid table. Humm I seem to remember Bratty saying we needed 10k to break even. And the daft part, it could be resolved so easily.

Our average gate last season was 5,532, with season ticket sales of 4,200. So that means, on average, pay through the gate plus away support was at 1,300.

 

Assuming a drop in this of only about 100, plus the known drop in ST sales to date and guessing at maybe another 200 ST sales between now and the start of the season, our average gate next season will be about 3,900

You're forgetting. The yankturk money only covers for last seasons losses, not this! ;)

I said about 3500 would be my guess, if we have a poor start it will drop to about 3000.

Correct. Just because it's a new season doesn't mean last seasons debt has gone away.

This is all so depressing! If the RIGHT thing would of happened at the EGM I think with Mo in place Micky back fans coming back because the board had finally departed we would of been looking at an opening crowd of 8-10 thousand!

 

Now itll be 5 dropping down to the 3 mark if we start badly, thats if nothings sorted!

I think that you're being over optimistic about next seasons attendances.Adams will have very little money with which to entice better quality players into the club.He will need all his motivational skills to shape the remnants of last season's squad and any new players into a successful team.If the team do not hit the ground running I can only see gates dwindling further.This will put further pressure on the Board and I hope they go under.Sometimes you have to take a step backwards to go three steps forward.
