I have seen at first hand the alienation suffered by those who experience mental illness. I would like you to help me to raise funds for MIND to enable them to challenge the stigmatisation people with a mental illness face.

 

The facts and figures around Mental Health in the UK are alarming -

•1 in 4 people will experience some kind of mental health problem in the course of a year

•Mixed anxiety and depression is the most common mental disorder in Britain

•Women are more likely to have been treated for a mental health problem than men

•About 10% of children have a mental health problem at any one time

•Depression affects 1 in 5 older people

 

 

Three weeks tomorrow I run my first half marathon the Stafford Half Marathon I will be running the Chester and Potters half marathons and the York 10K to raise funds for MIND. I am hoping, if not now then sometime through the year as I run each event that you can help me to raise funds for this charity.
