You are correct, Owen seems bias compared to the almost universally, institutionalised, privileged and privately educated right wing national media, but balanced for your average person he most certainly is.

 

Well speaking as someone who isn't institutionalised, priviliged nor privately educated and totally capable like you of making my own mind up I totally disagree with you and find him to be so blatanty biased it's quite sad cos he does have some good points to make

 

Folk who don’t like him are usually those who benefit from keeping their lifestyles, capital and communities healthy at the expense of everyone else.

 

So what's my reason cos it sure aint any of those?

 

Most of his opinions are universally accepted as the majority belief;

 

The majority who agree with him accept that they agree with him..very true..I wonder how labour never wins every election by a landslide

 

renationalising utilities, renationalising the rail network, hunting the lost billions in tax avoidance, stopping rewarding failing bankers with billions in bonuses, increasing state housing stock, rent caps for private landlords etc. Common sense to most of us but then again we’re not trying to preserve the benefits for our own greed.

 

Definitely all worth looking at...but optimising taxation, shrinking the state, rewarding hard workers, encouraging shirkers to get to work, maximising the tax take thru economic growth are also all common sense to most of us.

 

Ah so those that disagree with you are smeared as greedy..the usual lefty way of doing things.."if you don't agree with me that means you're evil and greedy"....a real debate killer that one
