No two ways about it that was just a complete arse kicking we’ve been on the end of there. The gap in quality is a chasm.

Mason-Clark is killing our righthand side. If we escape with 2-0 I think at this point you’d take it.
-
Chizzy on for Funso.

Feels like we do get caught out on short corners more than most teams do. Really killer time to do it there. Need to just keep things tight next 15 minutes as they will no doubt come out full tilt for a second.
-
Right on half time as well. Nearly as good as could have hoped for there.

They are better than us by a distance but can see we are definitely working to a game plan. The moment they are on the ball nobody pressing just getting back into our half and letting them pass among each other. Just need see out this 10 minutes or so to half time.

It’s been annoying me all season but stop that <ovf censored> short goal kick. With our players the risk far outweighs any reward.

You have to say these look a good side. Lots of pace in there. Makes all the difference. Don’t need to give it away cheaply in our half like Walters did though we did push them back well in the end.

Posh fans have a drum, I instantly want them liquidated.

Doesn’t exactly fill you with confidence that eleven. If I remember rightly Peterborough have some pacy players too especially out wide. Not something you could accuse one or two in ours of being. That said thought the lineup DM named at Wigan was curious at first and that played out ok so we’ll see.

Wonder what Grant makes of that with only 5 games to go 🙂 sadly he has been a big let down this season, the left side is a position we have struggled with all season,so lets see how Wynne does...... surely he is in the squad tonight then at a guess
To be honest with Grant I’d like to have seen him moved centrally. His lack of speed is less of an issue there. I’d have done it to give Ojo a kick up the arse if nothing else.

Im guessing this addition is DM’s polite way of saying he’s seen enough of Dan Jones and he can <ovf censored> off at the earliest opportunity. Maybe applies with Grant too.

Cheltenham were never going to just win all three of their next games like some were predicting. Conversely while their final three are horrible fixtures it’s plausible they steal something there.
We just need to focus on us game by game. Tomorrow would be a great time to pull off a backs to the wall performance and eke out a result. Peterborough have to win if they have designs on automatic so there’s pressure on them too.

Seeing as pretty much nobody expects anything from the game it must surely be the right one to go for it 100%. Peterborough certainly won't be expecting it, so throw caution to the winds and go for the jugular right from the whistle. The downside of course is that we could end up with a tonking that could be decisive in the final reckoning. Risk versus reward, the oldest conundrum of all. Personally I would take the risk, faint heart never won fair lady.
Will always be judged by the end result but I’d actually go the other way and set up to just shut the game down and frustrate them. Will require a lot of discipline to do it and you never know at some point we might have an opening. Part of the thinking does need to be protect GD even if we lose as unpopular as it might be.

Hope Peterborough enjoy themselves about a 48 hour bender now to celebrate. They absolutely should.
For Wednesday we need to limit the amount of set piece opportunities for them in our half. Got some quality on both sides.
-
Been watching a bit of the trophy final and Peterborough seem to have some really good set piece takers so we’ll have to be on our guard with that. Someone will have to run this concept by me but they seem to beat the first man all the time, we should try that. Wycombe giving them a tough outing though so hopefully they can keep doing that.

God I hope the TV cameras come nowhere near us this season, and definitely not on the last day. I can't remember when we performed well when our game was televised - maybe 0 - 1 away win at MK Dons at a push? But even that was dull.
Playoff final against Mansfield and the second leg against Swindon. Your point does stand generally though.
Wonder if with Burton desperation kicks in and they sack Paterson? The Stoke <ovf censored> has done more for us this season than he did as a player and don’t think they’ll turn things around with him.

Basically win our three home games then that should near enough do it for us. Certainly not easy but with us needing it more than certainly two of those opponents there’s no excuse.
Maybe with Peterborough playing in the pizza trophy final we might get lucky with an after the lords mayors show performance from them as well.

Good point given scores elsewhere. Could and perhaps should have been all three but great shift from the lads.

I think it may now be the point of the game just focus on keeping the shape and take the point.

Uche going full Bobby Moore with that tackle on Godo there 😂

So close. Fair play to their keeper that was a great reaction save.

Stats as it is and I think a point is a good result. Especially as those above and around are losing.
There is a point in this game (we’re definitely not there yet) that we need to accept if can’t win it then try not to lose it.
Just looking a little frantic now, slow things down a little.

Smith has to hit the target there. Rare occasion we nailed the set piece delivery.

Here is a lack of understanding that we are just not equipped to deal with a far superior team like Peterborough. My main takeaway having attended the game 24 hours later is there is not one of our starting eleven (and yes I’m including Ripley) who would make their team. We were just outrageously outmatched and for all the bleating about negative approaches etc you need to look at the recruitment in the first place.
