Despite me moaning about him not long ago I think Walters showed why we should tie him down and also Shorrock did more than enough to think someone will be in for him this summer

I think with Shorrock he did some nice things yesterday but also showed he has a long way to go with how he’d run into blind alleys on more than one occasion. Worth noting he turns 17 today so happy birthday to him and he is now eligible to be signed to a full time pro contract if Vale and he are inclined.

Personally I dont think we will make the mistake in this window of not bringing in a decent striker

Hopefully Moore also sees the value of having actual fullbacks especially on the left too. Be nice to get some idea of what a Darren Moore team is meant to be as am still not sure now, hopefully this window will give us a better clue.

Won't be laughing when in national league .

Football is a game of opinions Alfie (same name as my cat),400 games or not when you struggle pass 5 yards how do you ever think Vale can play a game full of attacking intent .

Yes he is a old fashioned head and kick it player he is quite good at that if defending all game ,it's a boring watch though , however we are second bottom of league one -33 goal difference and he is the captain of a team who showed little to no motivation majority of last 2 league 1 campaigns ,so for that and I know for a fact he hang 's around with Stoke City fans I ain't got the time of day for him if that's OK with you .

You are entitled to your view though and I'm glad you think he is acceptable as you will continue to watch him I won't I've seen enough in his 400 games thanks

Wow, I think you’ll find that pretty much would disqualify the majority of our support. Particularly those like me who grew up in very Stoke dominated parts of the area. How narrow minded.

League 1 to Vale fans was like premiership to Stoke.

Me think nothing of buying a season ticket for league 1 both years got one (in fact 2 this last mediocre season ).

League 2 well that's a different kettle of fish .

All of a sudden we are back to the dirge of that League through neglect .

All of a sudden folk have had enough of spending there hard earned on a very poor product, cause that's what it 2nd bottom doesn't lie, and its not false or unlucky it's just downright pathetic .

So when folk are going on about we cannot afford get rid of the players who have put us in thst position, I'd think again about that statement as keeping the players could lead to national league.

So big summer just being on twitter and there's a lot who are not getting season tickets, so like all relegation there's no happy outcome .

You have upset a lot of support Vale players do the right thing hand in your resignation letters and be gone .

The next outcome is the most important, make no bones about it thst retained list is going be scrutinised ,and every player is going be in my opinion rightly going be accountable for our relegation so why should we as season ticket holders put faith in them who have failed us .

I’m trying to get my head around this post but no being in L1 for us is not like them being in the Prem.

On the wider point I suspect the ST figures might be a little lower but not as much as people think. Ultimately though football is the same at every level, if we start winning in L2 then crowds will go up and the feel good factor is back before you know it. If we don’t then it’ll be like it was for the Wycombe game. Some more imagination with matchday pricing wouldn’t be amiss though.

You sound like…. Johnny off the pod 😉

Haha yeah he did say the same but different people. To be honest Uches inability to not be completely blowing after an hour has really irritated me a while.

Just on the actual topic I do think as part of the package the club could look at maybe bringing back the 10 game flexi-ticket or whatever it used to be called. Just don’t have it allocated to a seat (which was the main issue before) but use it to select a vacant one up to 10 games.

  6. I can’t see on what possible grounds anyone could argue to keep Uche. Let’s be honest he’s brings very little to us. Being unable to play more than 60 minutes a game doesn’t speak to being a professional either. Don’t tell me that was due to injury either, that was a shoulder he hurt. Nothing was stopping him doing some cardio on a exercise bike at the least.

Saturday has the potential to be very, very funny

As funny as that would certainly be looking at the fixtures they’re playing Colchester. A draw for Crewe seals playoffs and a draw for Colchester ensures survival. Basically the ball isn’t going to leave the centre circle.

this has to be the biggest dead rubber in history. would like to see the younger players played and leutwiler in goal. the rest can hang their heads in shame bar 2 or 3. mass clearout and a decent striker in the summer please. ill be watching and waiting this time before paying for a season ticket because this season has been unnaceptable to the point i didnt want to go watch the games.

I also want to see a fans forum asap with the leadership fronting this season up. its very easy to sit in front of 200 fans when youre doing well. now is the time to repair the damage that has been done.

    that is all.

    roll on full time.

Agreed on the lineup. I just don’t want to see that bunch of losers we have for so called senior pro’s any more. Certainly none of the loanees should be involved either, just send them all back now. Give the young lads a chance to show what they can do. At least you know they’ll care.

2-0 Cheltenham! Taylor at it again

Felt at the time he was harshly criticised when with us. Yeah he missed a few but still had a goal output Uche and Loft combined couldn’t get close to. Suppose Burton could still go down and for the away day that’d be the preferable one. If Wycombe score now things get really interesting.

1-0 Cheltenham! The desire & intensity is what you’d demand from a relegation bound team. All over Posh albeit they’ve made quite a few changes. Bravery & passion, I’d expect nothing less from a Clarke team

If Wycombe win at Cambridge tonight we might yet have a say in saving DC. Of course relying on our bumbling incompetents is a pretty forlorn task though.

I see rumours are doing the rounds that there was a ruck with the playes in dressing room and it blew over on the team coach . It on twitter if true it’s worry or not?

Be nice to think they had some fight in them but I doubt it. Suspect can give it the same credibility as the Wilson and Harrison rumoured fight from a year ago.

Yep - I agree with most of that.  BUT we simply don't have the money to py up everyone's contract and bin them all off.  Thats not realistic - I just don't see it happening.

    Just my 2' worth brother.

You’re right we certainly can’t just pay them all off, that is simply not going to happen. I’m hoping with a few of them though who have been more used to L1 wages we have wage reduction clauses in their contracts for relegation and that might make the decision for a few of them to see if another club will take them on.

               Leutwiler

    Lomax Smith Yak Wynne

                Walters

     Chislett Plant Shorrock

                 Garrity

                 Dipepa

No loans, none out of contract, no underachievers, only decent seniors, our developing talent

(Yak and Smith aside, no-one to replace them)

Agree with most of that but the club announced last week Lomax was out for the season sadly. Like to have a look at Brazier and Buah in this game too.
