Woke up expecting some signings. If we haven’t signed a striker (and we needed two) or a LWB then we deserve to be relegated. Dreadful window.

Now Facebook saying deal fell through paperwork not done in time…. If true I think we’re going down

Looks a bit like smith on that picture to me

Explain whats up with the squad other than a fuck8ng striker?
No decent left wing back.
without Ojo no ball winner in midfieldnothing up front.

Can’t go sleep. Checked facebook page and 1 more signing ‘definitely done’ and a good one.

Is that really it? We risked it last season but to not sign a LWB or not even 1 striker is criminal. Our attacking options have been bad all season but they are now utterly woeful. Off to bed, hoping that I wake up to some good news that we we’ve got a signing over the line. If not I think we’re down

Am I missing something with wyke? He’s been playing and scoring this season why would Wigan let us have him?

Honestly I think the window has been a good one
If we don’t sign anyone else then I don’t think even the most positive vale fan could agree to that

We haven't seen Lofty fully fit and playing 90 mins alongside Wilson.
OK 60 minutes alongside Wilson.
Thank god

Short memory
No, fans were moaning last Jan as we had excellent first half of the season and then didn’t improve in January and went backwards. More a case of us not being ambitious rather then relegation

Not sure thats the plan. Footballs hard. Thats why I watch it
Id argue it is given the club haven’t even thought about relegation this season. Football is hard and it’s even more difficult when you handicap yourselves.

Heard that last year.
And we just got away with it. Why would we risk it again

I posted about coughlan earlier in the window. Scored for fun in Ireland and said he wanted a move to England. Had no idea he ended up with Fleetwood

Agree! LWB as well. Hope I'm wrong. Just not feeling more than 1 forward. That said! The clock is ticking!
Forgot about the LWB.
I think we will really struggle if we don’t have a forward and LWB sign.

Thought this for a while. Football is a small exclusive club. Can you picture if a good lower league striker speaks to Ryan Loft about the Vale.
Should imagine the advice would be if you have another offer take it.
But what can you expect. If you have been that poor as loft has been fans aren’t going to be singing his praises. That isn’t just at the vale, that is every club, not saying it’s right, but it happens at every club

Not a chance! I reckon 1 forward and then done!
Not going to be enough I don’t think. We needed a striker with Uche fit. worrying, I thought we would have had at least 1 lined up from when Uche was in talks with Charlton.
Wilson will get injured at some point. And then we’re left with Loft and Dipepa. I don’t think our strike force could be any weaker. Fingers crossed we get at least 1 in

They don't care that their words may be adversely affecting someone - as long as they get to open their big gobs and show how clever they are!
Give it a rest.

I’d take loft over Taylor and that is saying something

Fair play to Tommy.
Find it strange he couldn't get a game for Rochdale and didn't last long at Curzon, and at a time we were giving minutes out to anyone with two legs from the academy, hasn't played in 12 months - but has now gone to a Premier League side.
Under 21 side though.

I imagine the fee will be minimal and is a shame we keep signing other sides young lads on loan but then let one of our own go
Anyway strikers please vale. two decent loan signings so far let’s get a least 1 decent forward in.

Where has that come from. I thought he was promising but then never seemed to get game time when others did. Wish him well. Would have preferred him to stay at be ahead of some of our youngsters but oh well

Just spoken to my m8 who's given me the details I've shared in the past.
He tells me that Williams is definitely not injured and was sent back because of his personal conduct. But Vale won't deviate from the line that he's injured as it's more important to us to keep the new relationship with Liverpool sweet.
Apparently Liverpool are very apologetic and thankful we've kept a lid on it. Might get more out of them in the future. ..??
Crazy that is. What a wrong un

So we’re thinking it’s more his attitude and he’s been sent back based off this? Not sure what he could have said so bad for this to happen. Think it’s the injury personally

I’m waiting for the line, ‘we worked hard all window and had a quality striker to sign but couldn’t get it over the line’. I’ve got no sympathy, we’re leaving it too late every window. We have needed forwards since our first summer in league, same for a LWB. Yet leave it this late to try and remedy this. Deserve everything we get. Every side has strengthened and I think we are weaker than earlier in the season.
