"Tippy tappy crap"...or football, as we call it, and as opposed to the Aussie Rules you seem to want?  Fans are only agreeing with you, now, because a team shorn of confidence is struggling...even though we could / should have won at least two of the League games, in this spell. A single goal could have made so much difference to this run, and I don't believe your looking-glass actually predicted results would turn this way? If it's that good you ought to be a Lottery millionaire!

A single goal is big in football. Have we even won by more than 1 this season in the league? I can’t remember been so long since we won. A single goal would have made a major difference to our good run. Facts are we didn’t concede then and we aren’t scoring now so the point is irrelevant. We’re losing games because we are one dimensional, slow and very poor in both boxes. Not bad luck.

Have you read Mike Baggaley’s long piece about his tour of the club with Claire who was describing all the stuff that has been done and what still needs to be done?  No?  Thought not.

Pointless venture. Who wants a tour around a league 2 club? Get the product sorted on the pitch. Once that is acceptable start messing with other areas. I mentioned this at the start of the season where I was criticising the window and our unbalanced squad and completely ignorance in bringing a striker in. The club seem more focussed on looking good in the papers  and spending money elsewhere than on the squad. It’s all well investing off the pitch but if the product is crap, it’s pointless. Only 5k vale fans last night for a game against Derby - proof in the pudding.

I agree Carol has her faults, who doesn’t, but in August/September folk on here were praising the appointment of Crosby. And with regard to appointing someone who had never managed before, the two teams who were automatically promoted from League One were both managed by guys in their first management job.

It’s a bit different giving a bloke with no experience a side that stayed up by the skin of their teeth to a side with a much larger budget. AC also had last season to prove what he could do and we still went for him without bothering to interview. Carol is a lot to blame in my opinion for quite a few issues recently.

The last team I can remember getting beaten 7-0 was Man Utd at Liverpool last season. Similar game actually in that the 1st half was pretty even, and they imploded in the 2nd half.

There manager is doing just fine though, and is under no major pressure for his job. The key was he got a good response from his players, and that's what Crosby needs to do now.

He also had a squad worth multi millions, situation at United and vale isn’t remotely comparable

At the risk of sounding sexist, this reeks of a publicity stunt by an owner who loves the spotlight and knows this will get him and his ridiculous scarf on the national news.

Dale Vince is an odious attention seeker who knows this will gather his club some press. Who knows if she's the best person for the job? She may well be, but he'll revel in the notoriety of being the first owner to do it.

The question is, if she has a bad start, will he want to become the first football club owner to sack a female manager?

vegan club as well, like you say, stinks of a publicity stunt. Will not end well, that club is on a downward spiral, I think they needed an experienced manager, not Duncan Ferguson and not a female manager

I think that the Scot Parker decision is not quite so outrageous as others think.  If you read the statement made by Bournemouth's owners, they make it clear that they need their manager to help them progress in a sustainable way.  Mr Parker, in the wake of the 9-0 defeat said on the BBC that his team are "under equipped" for the Premier League.

My interpretation of the owner's statement is that they are not at all happy with Mr Parker publicly criticising his players and the owners (which his comments suggest he was doing).

Managers need to realise that they cannot demand endless big money signings to feed their  mistakes then keep asking for more.  Bournemouth wish to be sustainable, quite right so.  I think that Mr Neill at Sunderland was trying to force the hand of the owners to open the cheque book.  He has found the right partner at Stoke, who happily throw huge sums of money at their distinctly average football team and feed the egos of their managers who splash out big transfer fees.

The BBC did a good opinion piece of Mr Parker's sacking, I think they make so important points about what has gone on here.

Missed his interview but listened now and on balance I agree with you. Could be a job for Dyche this

Why not Potter?  Ex-player, must count for something?

Anyway, the interview should be straightforward, they’ll just need the candidates to demonstrate polishing a 7urd

Is this potter at Brighton? No idea why he’d go from Brighton to sjoke.

    Rooney - possibility

    Potter - highly unlikely

    Benitez - no chance

    Wilder - very doubtful

    Big Sam - maybe.

Dyche, unfortunately, would be a good fit.

Your being a bit generous there. There is not a even a 1% chance Stoke could get Rooney and even less of a chance to get Potter. Got Dyche’s name all over it - hope they don’t get him though. Would love them to try another Nathan Jones appointment

  9. Unbelievable fight. Credit both men - they give everything. How Joshua recovered from the onslaught he went through in R6 I don't know.

He looked completely done, I don't know how he came back, he should've been finished off though but aj was amazing to come back and then land the blows he did in r11
