Even if Uche stays, AC s going to revert back to the possession football because that's what the club wants.

100% agree with you, we have had some great matches since we changed formation and the fans are more happy but we have a stubborn who believes we should be playing the other way

How do you know we will revert back?  If, as seems likely, Uche stays, I really can't see Vale changing how they play, unless forced to by injuries.

Anyway made up for young Bailey signing and the positive words from his family. Obviously very grounded young man with great support around him realising he has to take it slow and be settled in a positive environment to bring him on for the future emoji106.png

    Missed this - elaborate?

    Totally disagree.

It's not about the stats and the only manager to come out to say anything about Uche was the Charlton manager that's actually come out & said anything about him unless you can show me any other articles different.

Uche was a player that was about to get thrown out of the club until AC stumbled on a formation at half time against Barnsley to save his own bacon.

Uche's then gone on to have, what 2 & half decent games which for some reason made him a messiah amongst Vale fans, where before Barnsley he was useless.

When AC gets players back from injury & and one or two more additions in, then he is going to revert back to the possession football that we had been playing because that's the way that AC wants us to play & he's said many many times this season that is our ID & philosophy.

When he reverts back to that, then Uche will be useless again but with what I have seen with Uche already, it's not going to take a switch of formation to render him not very good again.

Have you ever tried looking at the bright side of life?

Why didn’t he play for 8 months? As far as I’m aware, it’s not because of injury. If that is the case then there is no excuse for not being fit, he’s a professional footballer and is paid to keep fit and ready to play if needed. I understand the case for match sharpness but that should not take more than a month to get back to full speed. He’s been with us plenty of time to be fully up to speed unless there is an underlying injury that we are not aware of, but saying that it should have been picked up by our medical team when joining the club.

If there is an underlying problem, it's not stopped him has it?  Nor have the opposition defences, more to the point.  Anyone else remember Asa Hartford, hole in heart, failed medical at Leeds, wonderful career thereafter.

Let's hope Uche does the same for us.  At least Divine Intervention will be a happy bunny now!

And Fab has finally caught up with the mighty PVFC - he's finally hit the big time!

Not including Garrity seeing as he's out for a while. But imagine...

                                           Ripley

                         Debrah     Smith     Williams

           Sang                                                        Grant

                                             Ojo

                                 Gore             Weir

                            Chislett                Wilson

                                         Ikpeazu?

    Playing 12 a side?

I thought he looked quite good technically in the brief period we saw but he needs to learn when to try the tricks and when to just hoof it away, he did some clever footwork in our penalty area while Reading where attacking and then put the ball into an area where it was picked up by a Reading player in a good position to attack our goal. Bit like Devine did against Charlton which led to one of their goals. Overall I think he will be OK, especially since he has already played with Devine but he needs to adapt to mens football which is a different mix of technical ability and bloody mindedness.

He's already played a fair bit of men's football, don't forget.

    Just a thought ...

In the Rudge years we bought players cheaply. Sold them on when playing well then used a proportion of the sale to buy the replacement to develop and then sell on etc etc

Is Garrity and Weir the rebirth of that ideology perhaps? Considering one is injured and the other only a loan not a permanent signing I am jumping a lot of bridges, heart ruling head of course. Just dreaming that any possible sale of Garrity could be a positive and not a disaster for us.

Lots of dreaming and assuming going on there, methinks! 😉

He has expressed the same anti-Smith viewpoint in 378 previous matchday threads, across a few different accounts. Here is to another 378 matchday threads with him bemoaning Smith being the the team!

Yet, Divine Intervention actually picked Smith in his predicted lineup.  I think he's forgotten that.
