  1. While I'm not resigned to accepting that we'll be relegated, if we are, I considered a few weeks ago, that if we are, that only Flitcrofts lack of ability should prevent us from bouncing back with a promotion, given the sides that would be in there next season If we were to have real investment to buy proper players, then surely there would be little room for excuses, but it depends on if you DF keeping his nose out and letting DM get on with the job.
  2. How can we assume that even a penny of it will be seen at the Vale?
  3. Maybe Robbie can get Harry Styles to buy in as well. A big colourful butterfly, pink boas and a "just be kind" motto, perfectly fits with the clubs mantra.
  4. And we're impressed with the 3hr PowerPoint presentation.
  5. I didn’t want to mention it because some folk would take exception, but my wife said the same about the tears.
  6. And there lies one of the many problem. If he's the benchmark, it explains a lot. As for a captain leading by example and being the key on field organiser, why is the defence always breached so easily and so often.?
  7. Because the wives know how the coaches can perform. Unfortunately I fear we may be already in the same situation as those wives, after the coaches have performed.
  8. How can she say in that bizarre video that loosing like that isn't us? Of course it bloody well is and has been since October. And don't stand there blubbering about what a good squad we've got, because we sodding well haven't, have we? Never mind all that rambling, an apology for a long series of poor performances wouldn't have gone a miss, along with a statement that no one finds those performances acceptable, but all that it showed, a rabbit lost in the headlights, notably without the presence of the chief puppet meister DF. She says that DM will take 3 games to see what he's got, well I'm sure as he'll, he knows now WOW!
  9. Sjoke would obviously be the biggest one to miss out on, but we could potentially have 6 or 7 sell out away ends. Substitute that for Barnet or Bomley, with a pinch of Harrogate and Accrington. Realisticly we could loose out on over £500k on those 6 or 7 games alone, obviously minus the policing costs, but I guess, that's OK because Accringtons 100 fans (optimistic, I know) won't hardly cost us anything Hope the clown(s) have considered this.
  10. Another mistake. Almost the complete definition of making a rod for your own back. The odd mistake here and there can be expected from anyone, but this is now starting to become a catalogue.
  11. But have balanced it with investment to strengthen the team, as evidenced with their recent form, which has seem them overtake us in the league.
  12. I think that's a disgraceful attitude. How dare you think that you can sit next to me, because I'd already planned to block that part off for myself to do the same thing. At least if you are within earshot of me, it'll be better than those deluded positive lot. Oh and by the way, if you were wondering, I've got jelly babies and a hip flask that I won't be sharing. So there!
  13. Glad that you're happy with the squad that's been assembled and that you genuinely believe that the strength of the squad has progressd. For me, I'm a smidge concerned that our progress doesn't feel quite like progress. With regards to the player comparisons that you've cited, call me misguided for not seeing the obvious, but it must have washed over my head to the extent that Ryan Loft has taken us forward and as for Sang, he's almost the definition of inconsistency and is indicative of DF's fruits of labour, if you are holding these up as shining examples of money we'll spent.
  14. Interesting choice of words "if we fail" So who do you hold to account if we fail, because, surely, failure always falls at the feet of those responsible?
  15. The last two years must have been interesting for you
  16. But the issue isn't about relegation or survival. It's about Flitcrofts protracted failure in improving what touches a football. If we're are to survive it'll be despite him, not because of him. I'll be there on Saturday and every home game between now and the end of the season, cheering, not booing, hoping that we can get the points that'll guide us to safely, even if the performance is crap. Avoiding relegation won't exonerate DF's record of failure or influence whether I trust him with my season ticket money.
  17. I was convinced that you were already a life long S T holder
  18. Simple. If we're wining Flickers, if we're losing, the manager.
  19. I've always renewed, irrespective of what league we're in, so relegation has little to do with it. For me it's not about not backing or supporting the Vale, but more a case of handing over a large amount of money in financially tough times, to be wasted in such a way that has resulted in creating a weaker squad for two consecutive years, while seeing no rational explanation for it, or any action of accountability. While 14th place wouldn't be settling the world alight, most would see it as steady progress, coupled with a degree of stability, however the DoF has fallen short yet again and his decisions and performance is the sole reason for our situation. So I agree, not many people would give a stuff about Flitcroft if we were 14th, because most would recognise that as being not great, but acceptable Still, I guess the phrase is "We go again" eh!? Even though its with blinkered optimism. One final point, is that not a single one of us take any satisfaction in feeling the need to express anything negative about our club, because we all love the Vale
  20. Yes mate, it hurts, but seems to be what may be the current thinking of a few.
  21. For the first time in umpteen seasons, sadly I'm seriously considering NOT renewing mine and the wife's season tickets. Not because of the fact that we may be in L2 yet again, but because I find it totally demoralising we're parting with our hard earned brass, so that a stark failure of a DoF can squander it yet again, in exactly the same fashion that his last two years track record has demonstrated, I know this isn't positively supporting the club and harms the club, but really I,like many others, can't afford to waste money for the reward of feeling utterly depressed and miserable, after watching defeat after defeat The hype, national coverage and massive over positivity which was fanfared post promotion, had me and many others hooked, as we were sold a ridiculous notion that Port Vale were on an upward trajectory, backed by the prospect of a professional, business set up and the pledge of making new memories . Well that aged well, didn't it? We now certainly have new memories, but not ones that we'll treasure. So I guess there's a part of me that feels a little embarrassed at been taken for a fool for buying in to all that, but I'm also angry at the clubs failure to address the situation that has been allowed to fester while seemingly, being in total denial of it, as demonstrated as an example, by that bizarre open letter, which was always going to back fire. Anyway, that's it.
  22. I still think we'd concede playing with a back ten.
